The Learning Lab is a tuition centre operating islandwide across Singapore, with a centre located at United Square on Thomson Road. It is KakiList verified and ACRA registered, and carries a Google rating of 3.9 out of 5 from 195 reviews — a robust sample that offers a reasonably reliable signal of the experience parents and students can expect. Fees are positioned in the mid-range tier ($$) for the tuition sector.
For families considering enrolment, the typical first step is to enquire about level and syllabus fit — whether your child is following the MOE mainstream curriculum, the Integrated Programme, or an international syllabus such as IGCSE or IB. It is worth asking whether classes are conducted in small groups or as one-to-one sessions, as this affects both the pace of instruction and the fee structure. Many tuition centres offer a trial class, which is a practical way to assess how well the teaching style matches your child's learning needs before committing to a full term. Confirm whether tuition packages are priced per session, per month, or per term, and ask about any materials fees that may apply separately.
To take the next step, reach out to The Learning Lab via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's level and to arrange a trial class.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
We are so grateful to have had Ms Shaan as our child’s teacher at TLL. She has been incredibly dedicated, patient, and caring throughout the past three years. My son absolutely loves her classes and we can clearly see how much he has grown both academically and in confidence under her guidance. The teachers at TLL are professional, encouraging and committed to helping children learn with joy and confidence. We have always received clear communication and timely updates, which makes the learning experience very supportive for both students and parents. Overall, we’ve had a very positive experience at TLL, and we’ve seen significant progress in our child’s learning journey. Thank you to the wonderful team for creating such a nurturing and effective environment for the children.
My gal moved to Novena site after passing gep. They offer high quality and very structured English program. Not the usual classroom tuition class, it’s like a conference, brainstorming environment. Staff are kind and accommodating. Down side is there’s no school breaks but my gal still love attending her lessons always. Expensive but worth every penny
We sent my brother to this tuition centre program knowing it was one of the best, but unfortunately it was too fast for my brother in retrospect. At the age of 11-12, he was not able to communicate this well to us, just kept attending and having his confidence impacted. I would not recommend sending any struggling child to The Learning Lab, this program is more for students who want to improve from good to excellent. I would have preferred the teacher/tuition centre being honest with us to tell us that my brother was not keeping up and should go to an alternate program instead elsewhere, instead of continuing to accept him (and our thousands of dollars in fees each quarter), but not being able to help him at all at his level. It was unfortunately a waste of time, energy and money over 2 years, not to mention the discouragement caused to a child for being made to feel that the problem is him for being significantly behind his peers. This centre is run on private equity ownership and profit is important, but as a business in education it should have a duty to protect the children it claims to help.
During the recent public holiday, we needed to reschedule the children’s program. May I kindly suggest that, during future planning, public holidays be taken into consideration so they will not affect the regular program schedule? For example, if a session falls on a public holiday, it could be shifted to the following week without disrupting other programs. Your kind consideration in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Mr Welson Lee taught my daughter science from Primary 4 to primary 6. He has high efficiency, is very patient and is very kind. Whenever science questions that my daughter does not know how to solve are sent to him online, he always replies in time. With Mr Lee's help, my daughter's science has improved a lot, getting AL1 for science in PSLE.

The Learning Lab displays mid-range ($$) pricing, though specific per-session rates are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the centre. Tuition centres in Singapore typically structure fees as a per-session rate, a monthly package covering a fixed number of sessions, or a per-term commitment. When enquiring, ask whether a trial class is available and whether it is charged at the standard session rate or at a reduced introductory fee. Beyond the headline session fee, check whether printed or digital materials carry an additional charge, and whether sibling discounts or package deals apply if you are enrolling more than one child. Some centres also charge a one-time registration fee. See the full Tuition Centers cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition centres, including those in The Learning Lab's segment, offer a trial class before you commit to a term or monthly package. A trial class lets you assess whether the teaching pace suits your child's current level, whether the class size allows for sufficient individual attention, and whether the tutor's style keeps your child engaged. When attending a trial, pay attention to how the tutor handles questions and whether the material aligns with your child's school syllabus. Ask the centre directly whether the trial is charged at the regular session rate or offered at a separate introductory price, and what happens if you decide not to continue — some centres apply the trial fee as a credit toward the first month. Contact The Learning Lab via WhatsApp or phone to ask about current trial class availability for your child's level.
Specific tutor credentials for The Learning Lab are not listed in the publicly available information, so it is advisable to ask directly before committing. Relevant questions include whether tutors hold NIE certification or have prior MOE teaching experience, their academic background in the subject areas they teach, and how many years they have been teaching at this level. Also worth confirming is whether tutors are familiar with the current MOE syllabus and marking rubrics, and whether the centre updates its materials when the syllabus changes — this is particularly important for subjects like English, Mathematics, and the Sciences at PSLE, O-Level, and A-Level. Contact The Learning Lab directly to request this information before your child's trial class.
