About The Lentor Residence

About The Lentor Residence

The Lentor Residence is a nursing home located at 51 Lentor Avenue, Singapore, serving residents islandwide. The listing has been verified by KakiList and is registered with ACRA. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$), though specific fee details are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the home.

Families considering The Lentor Residence will typically begin with a care needs assessment, evaluating the elderly person's mobility, medical conditions, and daily living requirements. It is worth clarifying upfront whether the home provides nursing care, dementia care, or both, and what the nurse-to-resident and caregiver-to-resident ratios are. Families should also confirm whether visiting hours, day passes, and family involvement in care planning are accommodated. Where multiple family members are involved in the decision, a joint meeting with the care team can help ensure everyone's questions are addressed before admission. A trial or short-stay arrangement, where available, can ease the transition for both the resident and the family.

To take the next step, contact The Lentor Residence by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to arrange a facility visit and discuss your family member's care needs before making any commitment.

The team in Lentor Residence are attentive and dedicated in looking after my mother-in-law. The staffs have been consistently observant, responsive, and professional, and we are grateful for the regular updates on her condition, which help our family stay informed and reassured. The environment provided is comfortable, calm, and well-suited for elderly residents. Knowing that she is being cared for in such a supportive setting allows our family to feel at ease and confident that she is in good hands.

A good nursing home with good nurses, they are caring group. My husband was in this nursing home for a 7 days Respite Care. He enjoyed his stay and he enjoyed the meals and fruits. For me that's enough.

My grandma loves the nurses, but we checked her in and paid the insane private fees (she doesn't qualify for subsidy) because she liked the Level 1 unit. Not even half a year later, they move her to a Level 5 room without informing us first. Zero alternatives given, zero communication. Administration pushes everything to the nursing managers who inadvertently leave things out cos of how busy they are. Very poor protocols and SOP, rooms are really bare bones and it's not worth it if the fees are not subsidized. EDIT TO ADD: The nurses cried with my very stoic grandma on her last day and she really does miss them. While the administration leaves a lot of gaps, the nursing care here is above and beyond what one can expect of a facility. As family, we do appreciate this very much.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does The Lentor Residence charge?

The Lentor Residence has not publicly listed its fee schedule, so families should contact the home directly for a detailed breakdown. As a general guide, nursing home fees in Singapore typically range from S$1,800 to S$4,500 per month for Singapore Citizens in private or voluntary welfare organisation (VWO) homes, depending on room type (single, double, ward) and the level of nursing and medical care required. Fees generally cover accommodation, meals, basic nursing care, and daily activities, though physiotherapy, specialist consultations, consumables, and incontinence supplies are often billed separately. Public holiday and overtime surcharges may also apply. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →

Live-in or visit-based — which does The Lentor Residence offer?

As a nursing home, The Lentor Residence provides residential (live-in) care rather than visit-based or home care services. Residents typically move in on a permanent or long-term basis, with round-the-clock nursing supervision. Families should confirm the scope of medical and personal care provided — for example, wound management, medication administration, feeding assistance, and continence care — as well as how the care plan is reviewed and updated over time. Most nursing homes offer a short-stay or respite option for families who need temporary cover while a primary caregiver recovers or travels. Ask whether The Lentor Residence provides respite admissions and what the minimum stay and lead time requirements are. A trial admission, where available, can help assess whether the environment and care approach suit your family member before a permanent decision is made.

Is the caregiver team trained and insured?

Nursing homes in Singapore are regulated by the Ministry of Health (MOH), which sets staffing and training requirements for registered nurses, enrolled nurses, and care staff. Families should ask The Lentor Residence directly about the qualifications of its nursing team, the presence of any dedicated dementia or rehabilitation staff, and whether allied health professionals such as physiotherapists or occupational therapists are engaged on-site or on a visiting basis. Insurance and liability arrangements are important to clarify before admission. Ask whether the home carries professional indemnity and public liability coverage, and how incidents — such as falls or medication errors — are documented, reported, and managed. It is also worth confirming whether the home holds current MOH licensing, as this is a regulatory requirement for all nursing homes operating in Singapore. No regulatory licences are listed for The Lentor Residence in the current data; families should request sight of the MOH licence directly.
