Our daughter has been with The Schoolhouse by Mount Emily since she was just 2 years old, and watching her grow in this nurturing environment has been one of the greatest joys of our parenting journey. Her form teachers, Ms Yiwen and Lang Laoshi, have played a huge role in helping our daughter truly bloom. They have remained a constant thoughout and with their guidance, she now speaks English confidently and beautifully thanks to Ms Yiwen, and her love for Mandarin is all thanks to Lang Laoshi’s fun, engaging lessons. They’ve both made learning a joy. The school’s play-based curriculum is thoughtful and enriching, with a focus on emotional development and early STEM activities. Direct access to Mount Emily Park means plenty of outdoor exploration and time in nature, something we deeply value. Each term includes exciting excursions, and the recent Family Day was such a well-run, heartwarming event that brought the whole community together. We also appreciate how constructive and honest the parent-teacher feedback is during each conference. It’s helped us navigate the different developmental stages with greater understanding and confidence. A special mention must go to Ms JiaFeng, the hardworking and hands-on principal who always ensures that the children’s well-being comes first. It will be a bittersweet moment when our daughter graduates from The Schoolhouse. This place has been such a big part of her early years, and we’re endlessly grateful. We cannot recommend it highly enough to any parent seeking a warm, balanced, and nature-rich start for their little one.

I absolutely love this school. The facilities are a dream (garden to learn about the nature, pool for water play, parc nearby, ...); the staff is lovely and caring; the curriculum is engaging, diverse and fun. They organise a lot of activities for the kids and involve the parents. I can only recommend it.

Your child will have a fantastic time at Pat's Mount Emily. Our experience with both kids has been incredible. The management and teachers are always welcoming the kids with a heartedly smile and make their best efforts not only to educate and care for the kids but also offer kindness above and beyond their scope of work. The school has many unique facilities that add up to the excitement at school; the veggie garden, sandpit, pool, in-house kitchen, live animal tank etc. You can expect a perfect mix of outdoor and indoor activities for your child that is filled with joy and learning opportunities.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "The Schoolhouse" charge per session?

The Schoolhouse is listed at the mid-range ($$) price tier, but specific per-session, monthly, or term fees have not been published on this listing. Enrichment classes in Singapore typically charge S$30–80 per session for group classes and S$80–200 or more for one-to-one tuition, depending on the subject, level, and provider. When enquiring, ask whether fees are charged per session, as a monthly package, or on a term basis. Confirm whether a trial class carries a separate fee, whether materials are included, and whether sibling or package discounts apply. See the full Enrichment Classes cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many enrichment providers in Singapore offer a trial class at a reduced fee or at the standard session rate, allowing you to assess fit before committing to a full term. The Schoolhouse has not published its trial class policy on this listing, so it is worth asking directly when you enquire. During a trial, observe whether your child is engaged and appropriately challenged, whether the pace and teaching style suit their learning profile, and whether the class level aligns with their current syllabus or school curriculum. A single session is usually enough to form a reasonable first impression, though some children need a second visit to settle in.

What are the tutor's credentials?

The Schoolhouse has not published tutor credentials on this listing. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about the educational background of the instructor — for example, whether they hold an NIE or degree qualification, how many years of teaching experience they have, and whether they are familiar with the relevant syllabus (MOE, IB, IGCSE, or AP, depending on your child's school). Syllabus alignment is particularly important for academic enrichment: a tutor experienced with the MOE primary or secondary syllabus will teach differently from one trained in international curricula. If credentials are not readily volunteered, ask directly before committing to a term.
