It is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, and holds a Google rating of 4.9 out of 5 across 111 reviews — a robust sample that lends meaningful weight to that score. Parents and swimmers looking to enquire should consider their current level and goal — whether that is learning to swim from scratch, building stroke technique, competitive development, or adult confidence in the water — and ask about the syllabus or structured progression used. It is worth confirming whether classes are offered in groups or on a one-to-one basis, what group sizes look like, and whether a trial session is available before committing to a term. As the school operates islandwide and is based at an outdoor or public pool facility, it is also sensible to ask about session schedules, rain contingency arrangements, and whether online or theory components form any part of the programme.
To take the next step, reach out to The Swimming Room via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to ask about current availability, confirm the programme that fits your swimmer's level, and arrange a trial class before signing up for a full term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
We are truly thankful to have found this swimming classroom. From day one, my two kids have been so well taken care of by Coach Claudia. She is incredibly caring, responsible, and professional in the way she teaches and handles the children. As a parent, it gives me great peace of mind knowing my kids are in such good hands. They enjoy every lesson and have grown not only in their swimming skills but also in their confidence around water. Thank you, Coach Claudia, for your patience, dedication, and genuine love for the kids. Highly recommended!
We have had such a wonderful experience with The Swimming Room! My daughter has been taking classes for the last 1.5 years, and I cannot recommend Coach Eugene highly enough. From the very beginning, he has been exceptional. He strikes the perfect balance of being firm yet kind, and his patience is unmatched. He has a way of being extremely reassuring for the kids while making every lesson a ton of fun. If you are looking for a swimming coach who truly cares and gets results, Eugene is the best!
Coach Ben has been absolutely wonderful with my son. He is incredibly patient, encouraging, and makes every lesson fun. My son looks forward to swim class each week, and I’ve seen such a boost in his confidence and excitement for swimming. Coach Ben also has a special way of connecting with kids, he takes the time to understand each child’s comfort level and helps them grow at their own pace. My son feels safe, supported, and genuinely happy in his class. We’re so grateful for a coach who not only teaches skills but also creates a positive, enjoyable environment. We truly couldn’t ask for a better coach. Highly recommend!
Happy that we found TSR! The programmes are well structured & lessons are well taken care of. My kids started off with coach Roxanne for a short period of time and now with coach Stanley. They are both professional and wonderful coaches! Coach Stanley is extremely patient with kids and interacting really well with them! Every lesson is a like a “ mini-play date” to the kids, and they are so looking forward to swimming classes! My 6 yo son started with little aquaphobia and now in just a few months, he had grown so much confident in water! Really appreciate coach Stanley and team!
Coach Stanley is very patient and manages young children well. Mandy always has fun and enjoys her lessons under TSR coaching. Thank you Coach Stanley for believing in her, even during the times she struggled. 😊

The Swimming Room is priced at the mid-range tier ($$), but specific per-session rates, monthly packages, and term fees are not publicly listed. Swimming schools in Singapore typically charge S$30–60 per session for group classes and S$80–150 or more for one-to-one coaching, depending on the instructor's experience and class size. When enquiring, ask whether a trial class is offered and at what cost, whether there are materials or equipment fees (such as kickboards or floats), and whether sibling or multi-class package discounts apply. Term commitments are common, so confirm the cancellation and make-up class policy before paying. See the full Sport and Swimming Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many swimming schools in Singapore offer a trial class or a single introductory session before asking you to enrol for a full term. This is particularly useful for younger children or beginners who may need time to feel comfortable in the water, and for parents assessing whether the teaching style and pace suit their child. During a trial, look at how the instructor manages the group, whether the swimmer-to-instructor ratio feels appropriate, and how the coach handles varying ability levels within the class. Ask The Swimming Room directly whether a trial class is available, what it costs, and whether the fee is credited against a term enrolment if you proceed.
Instructor qualifications in Singapore's swimming school sector typically include certifications from the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA), the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), the Singapore Red Cross, or internationally recognised bodies such as the American Red Cross or Swimming Australia. Some coaches also hold competitive swimming backgrounds or sports science qualifications. Specific instructor credentials for The Swimming Room are not listed publicly. It is advisable to ask directly about the qualifications held by the coach who will be teaching your class, their years of teaching experience, and whether they hold a current lifesaving or first-aid certification — particularly relevant if classes are conducted in a public pool setting.
