About "The Write Connection"
The Write Connection is a private tuition provider operating islandwide across Singapore, listed on KakiList as a verified business and registered with ACRA. It holds a Google rating of 4.8 out of 5 across 22 reviews — a moderate sample size, so that figure should be treated with some confidence though further research is worthwhile. Fees are indicated at the mid-range price tier.
Families considering The Write Connection would typically begin by enquiring about syllabus and level fit — whether the tutor covers the relevant MOE curriculum, IB, IGCSE, or another framework — alongside the appropriate year group. It is worth asking whether sessions are offered on a one-to-one or small-group basis, as this affects both pacing and pricing. Prospective students or parents should also clarify whether classes are conducted in person at the Kitchener Road centre or online, and whether a trial class is available before committing to a term. Term length, session frequency, and any materials fees are practical points to confirm at the outset.
To take the next step, reach out to The Write Connection via phone or their online enquiry form to confirm current availability, discuss your child's specific learning needs, and arrange a trial class before signing up for a full term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
We joined TWC City Square since 2023. Ms Mellisa, Ms Ziying and Ms Sarah at this centre are truly responsible, friendly, and caring as well as replacement teacher in Parkway Parade Ms Germaine. They are patient with my girl and take time to understand her strengths and areas for improvement. Lessons are well-structured yet engaging, creating a positive learning environment where children feel encouraged and confident to ask questions. The teachers’ genuine dedication and consistent communication with parents give us great peace of mind. Front desk administrative Ms Betty also very helpful and friendly. She helps to arrange replacement classes to ensure all fit with patience and makes friend with kids. Highly recommended for parents looking for educators who truly care about their students’ growth.
We've had a wonderful experience at TWC, thanks in large part to Ms. Marissa's dedicated work with our son. His writing has improved tremendously under her guidance, and we can see real progress that makes us so proud. Ms. Marissa has been patient, encouraging, and clearly knows how to connect with her students. I also want to thank all the staff at TWC for making this journey easier for us as parents. While supporting our child's learning can sometimes feel stressful, the team here has been understanding and supportive every step of the way. Their professionalism and care have made all the difference in creating a positive experience for our entire family. Highly recommend TWC and especially Ms. Marissa for any parents looking for quality support for their children!
The Write Connection has a good set of instructional materials. My son attends a class at City Square Mall. His vocabulary and writing skills improved. The teacher and administrator at CSM are also very professional and committed to their work. I recommend TWC as their management is excellent!
Miss Ainul is very detailed in her explanations and she is a dedicated teacher. She ensures that her students understand the concept she is teaching and also makes jokes in class in order for her students to be more interested in her lessons. Frankly, I think she is a GREAT teacher and if there was a best teacher award, she would definitely win it. Thanks to Miss Ainul, my english grades have improved tremendously and I now understand the rules of English better. Happy Teachers Day and thank you so much for being so dedicated! - Beatrix
My son attended TWC @ Home in 2023 with Teacher Ainul. She is a dedicated and committed educator who delivers her lessons effectively. She keeps the students engaged and takes special care to ensure that no student feels left out, especially in an online setting. I appreciate her use of kind and encouraging words with her students. Ainul also takes the time to check in with me and provides recommendations to help my son improve in areas where he's lacking. She is truly a gem!

The Write Connection is priced at the mid-range tier, though specific per-session or monthly package rates are not publicly listed. Tuition fees in Singapore typically vary by format: one-to-one sessions command higher rates than small-group classes, and more experienced or specialist tutors may charge a premium. It is common for providers to offer a choice between pay-per-session, monthly packages, or term commitments, with term bookings occasionally carrying a small discount. Ask about any separate materials or workbook fees at the point of enquiry, and confirm whether a trial class is charged at the standard rate or offered at a reduced fee. Sibling discounts are available at some providers and worth raising if applicable. See the full Private Tutors cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition providers in Singapore offer a trial class so that students and parents can assess fit before committing to a term. During a trial, it is worth observing whether the teaching pace matches your child's current level, whether the tutor adapts explanations when a concept is not immediately understood, and whether your child feels comfortable engaging with the material. Ask The Write Connection directly whether a trial class is available, whether it is charged at the standard session rate, and what the cancellation or withdrawal policy is should you decide not to continue after the trial. A single session is rarely sufficient to judge long-term progress, but it gives a useful first impression of teaching style and rapport.
Tutor qualifications are not listed publicly for The Write Connection. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about the lead tutor's academic background, whether they hold a degree in the relevant subject, and whether they have prior MOE or NIE training. Experience with the specific syllabus your child is sitting — whether that is the Singapore MOE curriculum, PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IB, or IGCSE — is particularly relevant, as familiarity with marking schemes and examination formats directly affects how useful the preparation will be. Years of teaching experience and familiarity with your child's school or stream are also worth raising directly with the provider before committing to a term.
