I am extremely pleased with The Writer's Place, the English composition tuition school my son attended. Over the course of his lessons, I have seen remarkable improvement in both his writing skills and overall understanding of English. The dedicated and experienced tutors tailored their approach to his individual needs, ensuring he was consistently challenged while providing the right level of support. As a result, my son not only gained confidence in his abilities but also achieved outstanding results in his leaving-school exams. The structured and engaging lessons at The Writer's Place were key to his success, and I am grateful for the positive impact this school has had on his academic progress.

BP Writer's Place is a true gem in terms of developing future creative writers. My son (8 years old) was drawn to the outlet when it initially started (but joined only later due to his conflicting enrichment schedules) because of its comfortable atmosphere, despite the fact that he is quite competent in English. We noted improvements in how he uses innovative and complicated language in simple compositions and when speaking. I thank the teachers in Writer's Place for helping him through the use of those words and phrases. Nonetheless, I'd want to compliment the front desk ladies, particularly Catherine, for her ability to accommodate our unusual demands and feedback. I truly appreciate her meticulousness and rapid responses. In conclusion, this BP outlet is an excellent place for students to develop their writing, with excellent support from their front desk crew. Keep it up, and maintain involvement among their teaching staff, students, and parents! 🙏

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "The Writer's Place" charge per session?

The Writer's Place lists its pricing in the mid-range ($$) for Singapore, but specific per-session or monthly package rates are not publicly displayed. You will need to contact the provider directly to get a current fee schedule. Fees may vary depending on subject, level, group size, and whether sessions are one-to-one or small group. When enquiring, ask whether there is a separate materials or registration fee, whether a trial class is available and at what cost, and whether sibling or package discounts apply. Some providers also charge differently for online versus in-person sessions. See the full Private Tutors cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many private tuition providers in Singapore offer a trial class — sometimes at a reduced rate, sometimes at the standard session fee — before you commit to a term or package. It is worth asking The Writer's Place directly whether this option is available and what the cost is. Use the trial class to assess whether the teaching style suits your child's learning pace, whether the content level is appropriately pitched, and whether the tutor communicates feedback clearly. A single trial session is usually enough to gauge basic fit before signing up for a longer commitment.

What are the tutor's credentials?

The Writer's Place has not publicly listed detailed tutor credentials on its directory profile. Before committing to sessions, it is advisable to ask directly about the tutor's educational background, whether they hold an NIE teaching qualification or a relevant degree, and how many years of teaching experience they have. It is also useful to confirm which syllabuses the tutor is familiar with — MOE PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IB, or IGCSE — and whether they have a track record with students at your child's current level. Most reputable tuition providers are happy to share this information upon request.
