About The Writer's Place

About "The Writer's Place"

The Writer's Place is a tuition centre operating across Bukit Panjang and Woodlands, listed under the Education category on KakiList. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$).

Families typically begin by enquiring about the level and syllabus fit for their child — whether that is PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, or an international curriculum such as IGCSE or IB. It is worth asking whether the centre offers group sessions or one-to-one tuition, as class sizes can significantly affect how much individual attention a student receives. Many centres in this subcategory offer a trial class so parents and students can assess teaching style and pacing before committing to a term. Clarifying the term commitment, any materials fees, and whether online sessions are available alongside in-person lessons at Bukit Panjang or Woodlands will help you make a well-informed decision.

The most direct next step is to reach out to The Writer's Place via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about available slots for your child's level, confirm the trial class arrangement, and find out which syllabus streams the tutors are trained in.

My daughters have been attending the English Creative Writing classes at Junction 10, and we are extremely happy with the experience. The lessons are engaging, well-structured, and tailored to spark creativity in children. I’ve noticed a big improvement in their writing skills and confidence in expressing their ideas. Most importantly, they genuinely look forward to every class. Highly recommended for parents looking to develop their child’s love for writing!"

I am extremely pleased with The Writer's Place, the English composition tuition school my son attended. Over the course of his lessons, I have seen remarkable improvement in both his writing skills and overall understanding of English. The dedicated and experienced tutors tailored their approach to his individual needs, ensuring he was consistently challenged while providing the right level of support. As a result, my son not only gained confidence in his abilities but also achieved outstanding results in his leaving-school exams. The structured and engaging lessons at The Writer's Place were key to his success, and I am grateful for the positive impact this school has had on his academic progress.

BP Writer's Place is a true gem in terms of developing future creative writers. My son (8 years old) was drawn to the outlet when it initially started (but joined only later due to his conflicting enrichment schedules) because of its comfortable atmosphere, despite the fact that he is quite competent in English. We noted improvements in how he uses innovative and complicated language in simple compositions and when speaking. I thank the teachers in Writer's Place for helping him through the use of those words and phrases. Nonetheless, I'd want to compliment the front desk ladies, particularly Catherine, for her ability to accommodate our unusual demands and feedback. I truly appreciate her meticulousness and rapid responses. In conclusion, this BP outlet is an excellent place for students to develop their writing, with excellent support from their front desk crew. Keep it up, and maintain involvement among their teaching staff, students, and parents! 🙏

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "The Writer's Place" charge per session?

The Writer's Place is listed at the mid-range pricing tier ($$), though specific per-session or monthly rates are not publicly published. Tuition centres in Singapore commonly structure fees as a per-session rate, a monthly package, or a term-based commitment. Trial classes may be priced separately or offered at a reduced rate. It is worth confirming whether materials or workbooks are charged separately and whether sibling or multi-subject discounts apply. Contact The Writer's Place directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form for a current fee schedule. See the full tuition centre cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many tuition centres offer a trial class — sometimes at a reduced fee, sometimes at the full session rate — before asking families to sign up for a term. This is the most practical way to assess whether the teaching style, pacing, and level of difficulty are a good match for your child. During a trial, observe whether the tutor addresses your child's specific gaps, whether the group size allows sufficient attention, and whether your child is engaged rather than lost or bored. Ask The Writer's Place directly whether a trial is available for the relevant level and subject, and what the trial fee covers.

What are the tutors' credentials at "The Writer's Place"?

Tutor qualifications are not listed in the publicly available information for The Writer's Place. When speaking with the centre, it is reasonable to ask whether tutors hold a degree in a relevant subject, whether any have an NIE teaching qualification or prior MOE teaching experience, and how long each tutor has been teaching the specific syllabus your child is following. For exam-focused tuition, it is also worth asking whether the tutor is familiar with the current MOE syllabus or the specific examination board (Cambridge, IB, Edexcel) your child is enrolled under. Contact The Writer's Place directly to confirm these details before committing to a term.
