I’ve personally come down a few times to observe my friend’s son training at Triple Threat Basketball Academy, and every visit has left me more disappointed. The coach consistently shows up wearing Crocs, with no uniform and no sense of professionalism at all. This wasn’t a one-time slip — it’s the standard there. There is no proper structure, no clear drills, and no real coaching methodology. The entire session feels random, unplanned, and honestly more like a casual hangout than an actual basketball training. It gives the impression that the coach has very little experience, possibly just a part-timer filling a slot rather than someone trained to teach kids. For the fees parents are paying, this academy is absolutely not worth the time or money. Kids deserve proper coaching, discipline, and development — none of which I’ve seen here. There are many other academies in Singapore that are far more professional and genuinely care about the growth of their players. I strongly urge parents to stay away from this academy. Don’t risk your child’s development or waste your hard-earned money.
