About Tutopiya
Tutopiya is a private tutoring provider listed on KakiList, operating islandwide from its registered address at Changi Business Park. It has been verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channels. It currently holds a Google rating of 3 out of 5, though this is based on only 2 reviews, which is too small a sample to draw reliable conclusions. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier. Listing data is incomplete — contact Tutopiya directly to confirm details.
For families considering private tuition, the typical first step is to enquire about subject and level fit — whether Tutopiya covers your child's specific syllabus (MOE, IGCSE, IB, or other) — and whether sessions are available in a one-to-one or small-group format. You may also wish to clarify whether tuition is conducted online or in person, the session frequency, and whether a term commitment is required. Asking about a trial session before committing to an ongoing arrangement is a practical way to assess teaching style and whether the pacing suits your child.
To get started, reach out to Tutopiya via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to share your child's level, subject needs, and preferred schedule, and request details on current availability and a trial session.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Tutopiya is a waste of time, energy and MONEY! It's a poorly managed site and app, don't get catfished by the look of it. Class links don't come on time, so if a child joins late thanks to no link, the credit is still deducted. The app lacks a basic Join Class button and support simply tells you to use the website. Credits are deducted even when tutors reschedule or cancel. I paid for 7 hours and suddenly only 3 remained due to billing errors. After days of follow-ups, 2 hours were restored. Their policy charges 100 percent for late cancellations even when the fault is theirs. Customer support is slow, uninformed about their own app, and the claimed 2-hour response time is meaningless. The platform itself causes rushed, missed lessons and wasted money. One star. Not recommended.
Great platform with a professional and supportive team. Tutopiya truly cares about quality education and continuous improvement. Highly recommended!

Tutopiya displays a mid-range price tier, though specific per-session rates are not published in the current listing. Private tuition in Singapore is typically priced on a per-session or monthly package basis, and some providers charge a separate materials fee. A trial class may be offered at a reduced or standard rate — ask Tutopiya directly when you enquire. It is worth confirming whether any sibling discounts or multi-subject packages are available, and whether there is a minimum term commitment. If sessions are conducted online, clarify whether the platform and materials are included in the quoted fee. See the full Private Tutors cost guide for Singapore →
A trial session is a sensible way to assess whether Tutopiya's teaching approach suits your child before signing up for a term or package. During a trial, look out for how the tutor gauges your child's current level, whether the pace feels appropriate, and whether your child is engaged throughout. When enquiring, ask specifically whether a trial is available, what it costs, and whether that fee is credited towards a future package. It is also worth observing whether the tutor asks about your child's school syllabus and recent assessment results, as this indicates they will tailor sessions rather than deliver generic content.
Tutopiya's listing does not currently specify tutor qualifications such as NIE or MOE teaching backgrounds, degree disciplines, or years of experience. For private tuition, these details matter — a tutor with prior MOE classroom experience or a relevant degree will typically have stronger syllabus alignment, particularly for PSLE, O-Level, or A-Level preparation. When you contact Tutopiya, ask directly about the assigned tutor's educational background, familiarity with your child's specific syllabus (MOE, IB, IGCSE, or AP), and how long they have been teaching the relevant subject and level. Confirming this before committing to a term is advisable.
