Mr Wan is an impactful and caring teacher. When I first joined AWA in sec 3, I was struggling with both Amath and Emath (barely passing). Today, I managed to achieve distinctions in both math subjects. Mr Wan has an unique and effective approach towards teaching math concepts to us. He uses unique terms that allow us to recall various methods to tackle different math problems which are never taught in textbooks or by school teachers. The way his lesson is conducted also allows us to learn not just our own mistakes but also others, so we will not make the same mistake the second time. That really helped me a lot and build my fundamentals in math. Beyond math, Mr Wan also helps his students build their character by shaping them to be prepared for society through his wise words and actions. Values and skill set like consistency and responsibility are also imperative to be able to score well in math The facilities here at the centre are also perfect. The environment allows us to concentrate well. I will really recommend you to join AWA. Mr Wan is a 100/10 teacher who goes the extra mile to help every single student. Regardless of what your background is, as long as you really want to be better, he will always be there with you!

I am extremely grateful to Mr Wan for the huge improvement in my Math and AMath results. In Sec 4 Term 1, I scored D7 for both EMath and AMath, which honestly scared me a lot. That was when I decided to join Mr Wan’s class, which turned out to be one of the best decisions I made for my O Levels. Mr Wan’s teaching is very structured and effective. We have weekly classes where he focused on math drills by topic, which we completed as homework the week before. There are MULTIPLE THICK SETS of math drills for every topic, so much so that when Mr Wan wraps up a certain topic, you can do any question from said topic with your eyes closed. This helped me identify my weak areas and build a stronger foundation. He explains concepts clearly, goes through mistakes, and makes sure everyone understands before moving on. Thanks to his guidance and my consistent practice, my grades improved significantly. I scored A1 for A Math and B3 for E Math in prelims, and eventually achieved A2 for both subjects in O Levels. This huge improvement from D7 to A2 sounds crazy I know, but Mr Wan made it achievable with his dedication and teaching. I highly recommend Mr Wan to anyone struggling with Math or AMath (mainly AMath though). If you’re willing to put in the effort, Mr Wan will definitely help you see real results. :)

Mr Ammiel Wan is a superb teacher who genuinely cares about both his students’ results and their overall wellbeing. He is consistently responsible, attentive, and takes time to understand each student’s strengths and weaknesses. For the Primary 5 and 6 syllabus, he sets a clear and effective framework and methodology that helps students build strong foundations and tackle exam questions with confidence. Under his guidance, lessons are structured yet engaging, and my child knows exactly what to focus on at each stage of the school year. I would highly recommend Ammiel Wan Academy to any parent looking for a dedicated and results-oriented Math teacher for their child.

Mr Wan is a truly dedicated and passionate math tutor. He focuses not only on academic results but more importantly, on nurturing each student’s motivation to succeed. He takes time to ensure that critical concepts are clearly understood and explains them in details. What stands out most is his willingness to go the extra mile - offering guidance and support beyond regular class hours. His commitment has made a real difference in my son’s learning journey.

I joined Ammiel Wan Academy in primary 4 with near failing grades and barely keeping my head above water. Mr Wan was not only a kind and caring teacher, but also one that works hard to provide individualised care and advice to all his students. Under Mr Wan’s care, I improved by leaps and bounds in grades and in many other aspects. From p4 when I joined him until now after I have taken PSLE, I found that Mr Wan is more than a simple tuition teacher. He is one that takes pride in his work and his tuition is more of an enrichment centre than anything else. I saw how much he cares for his students and genuinely wants them to succeed. He never fails to provide little bits of advice and support to all of his students. His tuition is a very warm and welcoming environment as well. The friends I made at Ammiel Wan academy are ones that I found hard to say goodbye to, though most of them will be following him to Secondary one with me. I go to his lesson every Friday and Aunty Cathy was such a great person to be around. She always says hi to me whenever I go to his class which heartens me a lot. This warmth makes Ammiel Wan Academy one of the places where I grow and aspire to be the best version of myself and I look forward to his classes not because they are fun but because I improve so much with ever single lesson. His classes is a class whereby we learn from each other as well as from him. I am writing this review after my PSLE results have come out and I am pleased to have been given the results I was aiming for and to have gotten into my dream school, Raffles Girls Secondary. Although Ammiel Wan (or AW, as my friends and I call it) is a math enrichment centre, I found that I improved in all of my subjects because of the attitude that Mr Wan cultivated in me. He taught me countless lessons and learning techniques that can be applied in all of my subjects. In conclusion, looking back on my time in AW, I feel a sense of nostalgia and gratitude for Mr Wan. I also feel a sense of anticipation for the following years to come under him.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does VisibleMath Academy charge per session?

VisibleMath Academy has not published its fee schedule publicly, so exact per-session or monthly package rates are not available here. In Singapore's tuition market, mathematics tuition typically ranges from S$30–S$80 per session for group classes and S$60–S$150 or more for one-to-one instruction, depending on the student's level and the tutor's experience. Beyond the base fee, ask whether there is a registration or enrolment fee, a materials charge, or sibling and package discounts for block bookings. Some centres charge separately for mock papers or supplementary resources. Confirm the full cost in writing before committing to a term. See the full tuition cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many tuition centres in Singapore offer a trial class — sometimes at a reduced fee, sometimes at the standard session rate — before parents commit to a full term. This is worth arranging so you can gauge whether the teaching approach suits your child's learning style and whether the class level is appropriately pitched. During the trial, observe how the tutor explains concepts, how questions are handled, and whether your child is engaged rather than lost or under-challenged. Ask whether the class covers the same syllabus topics your child's school is currently working through. Contact VisibleMath Academy directly via phone or their enquiry form to ask about their trial class policy and availability.

What are the tutors' credentials at VisibleMath Academy?

Tutor qualifications are not listed in the publicly available information for VisibleMath Academy. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask whether tutors hold a degree in mathematics or a related discipline, whether any have NIE training or prior MOE school teaching experience, and how many years they have been teaching the specific level your child requires. Also confirm which syllabus the tutor is trained in — MOE SEAB, Cambridge IGCSE, IB, or other international curricula — as alignment matters for exam preparation. If your child is preparing for a specific national examination, ask how the teaching approach is structured around that assessment format. VisibleMath Academy can be reached by phone or via the enquiry form on their listing.
