It was an amazing couple of months attending Voca Academy’s music and sensory sessions dedicated to babies and toddlers. My son has shown significant progress during his time in Voca, particularly enjoying both Ms Rachel and Ms Amelia’s classes as they curate various songs and activities with themes which children delightfully have fun with. We will miss coming over here and feeling the great energy! 🥹
Ms. Rachel is a gifted and qualified vocalist who works very well with children. Our daughter says that Ms. Rachel has taught her techniques like breathing, warm up and how to hit big notes that she has found very helpful. Our daughter looks forward to her classes. We can hear and see improvements in our daughter’s singing ability and self confidence over time. I wanted to especially commend Ms. Rachel for coaxing our very, very shy daughter to sing on her own at a competition. I didn’t believe it was possible to do this, but with Ms. Rachel’s gentle support, our daughter has crossed a significant milestone.
Today, Amara had a singing lesson with Rachel at VOCA Academy, and it was an amazing experience! Rachel’s teaching style is easy to understand, very detailed, and full of great tips. The way she guided Amara was both smart and inspiring, making the lesson enjoyable and effective. We truly hope that every time we come to Singapore, Amara can take lessons with Rachel again. Highly recommended!
Our daughter has been attending Voca academy for the past 6 months. We can see her pretty dramatic improvement in her singing capability and self confidence. From her passing interest initially, she now cannot wait to improve and looks forward to her singing lessons. Thanks to Teacher Rachel who is passionate with her students and able to help the students improve quickly by focusing on techniques and stage presence and correcting small nuances that helps greatly, but also not dwelling on the nitty gritty that deters the kids confidence. Amazing teacher highly recommend!
We’ve been attending music classes at Voca Academy for nearly 1.5 years now, starting when our daughter was just one year old. What began as a weekend experiment has become a cherished family routine — a meaningful way to spend time together and watch our little one grow. Miss Rachel has been incredibly warm, engaging, and encouraging with all the children. Her energy, patience, and genuine passion for music shine through in every session. The classes are thoughtfully structured with singing, movement, playful interaction, and exposure to a wide variety of musical instruments. Over time, we’ve seen a beautiful transformation in our daughter — from simply enjoying sounds to developing an early love for music and rhythm, improved speech, and expressive movement. It’s clear that these classes have played a role in her confidence and creativity. We truly admire the care and quality that Voca Academy brings. Thank you for creating such a joyful, enriching space for young children to explore music!

VOCA Academy operates on a monthly recurring fee model, positioned at the mid-range ($$) for Singapore playgroup providers. When enquiring, ask the centre to confirm the full cost breakdown, including any one-time registration fee, a refundable deposit (commonly equivalent to one to two months' fees), as well as any charges for uniforms or personal accident insurance. Childcare and playgroup fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the monthly figure quoted should represent your actual outlay. It is worth requesting a written fee schedule before committing, so you can compare across providers clearly. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
ECDA subsidies for childcare and playgroup are available to Singapore citizen children enrolled at ECDA-licensed centres. The Basic Subsidy provides up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. The Working Mother's Child Development Subsidy offers additional support for mothers working 56 or more hours per month. An Additional Subsidy, income-tested and capped based on household income, can bring the combined monthly subsidy up to S$710 or more in eligible cases. Permanent resident children may qualify for partial subsidies at reduced rates. Before assuming eligibility, confirm directly with VOCA Academy whether the programme holds the necessary ECDA licence, as subsidy access depends on this. Subsidy amounts are subject to change — refer to the ECDA website for the most current figures.
Demand for quality playgroup and childcare places in Singapore can be significant, and it is advisable to enquire at least three to six months ahead of your intended start date. January is the peak intake month for most programmes, so families targeting the start of the year should begin the process earlier rather than later. To secure a place, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and a deposit. Contact VOCA Academy directly by phone or via the enquiry form to ask about current availability and the steps needed to reserve a slot for your child.
