Had an awesome experience! Marcus was great with lots of great tips and coaching. The location is perfect as the water is nice and calm and a beautiful fresh water lake experience. Highly recommend you book them!! 6 STARS!!!
Coach Merelda is one of the most encouraging wakesurf coaches we have ever had. We tried wakesurfing prior to going with Wakemusters, and my child did not manage to get up until she got coached by Merelda. It’s amazing what a wonderful coach can do- my child not only managed to get up during her first session with her, but she developed a love for the sport. She always leaves the water feeling confident and totally addicted to wakesurfing. Her quip at the end of every session is “Can’t wait for the next round!” You can trust Wakemusters for a great experience!
Attended a beginner session with Coach Meralda. She was clearly knowledgeable about the sport and was able to give precise feedback for our mistakes. While the content of the coaching was terrific the teaching was delivered with a somewhat sarcastic and demeaning tone, constantly asking rhetorical questions and cutting people off when they were answering. At one point, when I corrected a mistake I was making, she responded sarcastically with "wow you finally did it, why was that so hard." Perhaps it's her teaching style, and this might work if you are looking for a strict disciplinarian coach, but I found this extremely off-putting as a beginner just hoping to have fun trying out a new sport.
Absolutely thrilled with my experience at Wakemuster! The coaches were incredibly skilled and supportive, making each session both fun and productive. After each lesson, I felt much more confident on the water. The positive and encouraging atmosphere really helped me improve quickly. Highly recommend Wakemuster for anyone looking to try wakesurfing or improve their skills!
Great tuition, great location, great fun! Bedok reservoir works really well for wakesurfing, with no lost lesson time to travel out like you have to with coastal locations. Also no salty water! Really good instruction from Marcus and Esmeralda, helping my partner get comfortable throwing the rope and riding the wave on only her second lesson! Will definitely be back next time in Singapore.

Wakemusters displays a mid-range pricing tier ($$), but specific per-session, monthly package, or term fee figures are not publicly listed. When enquiring, ask whether fees are charged per session or bundled into a monthly or term package, and whether a separate trial class fee applies. It is also worth asking about any materials or equipment costs (such as swim caps or floats), as well as whether sibling discounts or multi-class package discounts are available. Many sport and swimming schools in Singapore offer a single trial class — sometimes at a reduced fee, sometimes at the standard session rate — before a term commitment is required. When contacting Wakemusters, ask specifically whether a trial session is available, what it costs, and what you should observe during that session to assess fit. During a trial, consider whether the instructor's pace suits your child's comfort level, whether the class size feels manageable, and whether the teaching style encourages progress without pressure. These factors matter more than the programme name alone.
Credential details for Wakemusters instructors are not publicly listed. For a swimming school, relevant qualifications to ask about include Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) coaching certification, Singapore Sports Institute accreditation, or equivalent recognised coaching awards. For sport programmes more broadly, ask whether instructors hold relevant national sports association coaching badges. Years of teaching experience and familiarity with the relevant age group or ability level are equally worth confirming. If you have a child with specific developmental considerations, ask directly whether the instructor has experience accommodating those needs.
