When considering pet boarding at Wan-defur Fortress, prospective clients should come prepared with their pet's size, breed, and temperament profile, as these factors typically influence the type of accommodation and care provided. Proof of up-to-date vaccination records — including DHPP and rabies for dogs, and FVRCP for cats — is standard practice for boarding facilities and will generally be required at drop-off. It is worth enquiring whether a trial visit or familiarisation session is available before committing to a longer boarding stay, particularly for pets that may be anxious in new environments. Clarify the drop-off and collection schedule, any recurring booking arrangements, and what the daily routine looks like during the stay.
To take the next step, reach out to Wan-defur Fortress via the enquiry form on their listing, specifying your pet's details, your intended boarding dates, and any special care requirements, so the provider can confirm availability and suitability. Listing data is incomplete — contact Wan-defur Fortress directly to confirm details.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
Not possible to finish ruins as they are under the golf course on private land. There is just a sign to indicate that there is a fort with a little history. Some ruins can be visited 400mts from this pin. The name is Serapong spur battery.
The map shows where the fort used to be. All the buildings of the fort have been utilized. There is a golf course on the site of the fort. Do not waste your time, you will not find any interesting historical sights here.
Fort Connaught was built for the defence of Keppel Harbour in 1878. It was armed with 9.2 inch guns and was used to engage invading Japanese troops during the battle for Singapore. Located on the eastern side of Sentosa Island near Sentosa Cove, it was earlier known as Belakang Mati East Battery. It was one of the four military installations that were built in Sentosa to fortify Singapore's defence. The others are Fort Siloso, Mount Serapong Battery and Mount Imbiah battery. A significant part of Mount Serapong was removed and made way for the present-day Tanjong Golf Course.
No fort to be seen or visited, just a locked gate and the sign.

Pricing for pet boarding at Wan-defur Fortress has not been published in this listing, so prospective clients should contact the provider directly for a quote. In the Singapore market, boarding rates typically vary by pet size and breed, with small dogs and cats generally attracting lower nightly rates than large or giant breeds. Additional charges may apply for add-on services such as grooming, nail trimming, ear cleaning, or medication administration during the stay. Transport arrangements, where offered, are usually priced separately. Always confirm the full cost breakdown — including any surcharges for public holidays or extended stays — in writing before confirming a booking. See the full pet boarding cost guide for Singapore →
Most reputable boarding facilities in Singapore require dogs to be current on their DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies vaccinations, with proof that these were administered within the past 12 months. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination is also commonly required for boarding and daycare environments where dogs are in close proximity. For cats, the FVRCP combination vaccine is the standard requirement. Vaccination certificates from a registered veterinary clinic should be presented at drop-off. If your pet's vaccinations are overdue, allow sufficient time to complete the course before the boarding date, as some vaccines require a waiting period before full immunity is established. Confirm Wan-defur Fortress's specific requirements directly when making your enquiry.
Pet boarding facilities in Singapore are required to hold a licence issued by the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) under the National Parks Board. This listing does not record an AVS licence for Wan-defur Fortress, so prospective clients are strongly advised to ask the provider directly to confirm their current AVS licensing status before making a booking. On the question of insurance, it is worth asking what protocol the facility follows if a pet becomes unwell, is injured, or requires emergency veterinary attention during the boarding period, and whether the provider carries any form of liability cover for such incidents. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
