About Write Edge
Write Edge is an education provider offering tuition and enrichment services, operating islandwide from its centre at Great World on Kim Seng Promenade. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, giving it a baseline of credibility. It holds a Google rating of 4.7 out of 5, though this is based on 6 reviews, so the signal should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier.
Families considering Write Edge would typically begin by enquiring about the level and syllabus fit for their child — whether that is the MOE primary or secondary curriculum, or an international syllabus such as IGCSE or IB. It is worth asking whether sessions are conducted one-to-one or in small groups, as this affects both pace and price. Confirming term commitment upfront is sensible, as many providers require enrolment by the term rather than on a session-by-session basis. The centre is located within Great World shopping mall, accessible by the Great World MRT station on the Thomson–East Coast Line, which makes it convenient for families coming from across the island. You may also wish to ask whether any online delivery options are available if in-person attendance is difficult.
The most direct next step is to contact Write Edge via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current availability, confirm the subjects and levels offered, and arrange a trial class before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
My son attends a Saturday class from 4 PM to 6 PM, where he has been introduced to a variety of enriching vocabulary through Write Edge. The instructor has equipped him with valuable skills that have positively impacted his grades. His school teachers have also recognised his progress. One day, he came home feeling very pleased, sharing how enjoyable his class was. He has begun to view writing as a pleasurable and rewarding activity, especially after receiving feedback on his improvement, with the teacher highlighting the growth in his latest composition compared to his earlier work. The lessons have introduced him to concepts he had not encountered in school before. Overall, it has been a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this program!
Signed up for a P1 writing preparatory class which was supposed to be a 2 hour session. Not very impressed overall as (1) there was a 2 session of 10 mins break each, (2) the class ended slightly earlier, (3) it was very noisy as the classrooms are not conducive for learning due to the toddler classes conducted at My Gym, (4) students are seated very close to the white board. Since the teacher has intended to shorten the duration to 1.5hrs, why are we asked to pay for $70 for a full 2hr preparatory lesson? Just because it’s a trial lesson? 2 times of 10 mins break each seems quite long.
Teacher Lynette really helped improve my writing. Her lessons are clear and I understand everything very well. She teaches me a variety of new phrases and explains the meaning. She makes sure we understand everything well before moving on and points out anything we can improve on. I am grateful for her and blessed to have her as my teacher. Thank you Teacher Lynette! :D
“Ms. Lynette has helped me take a big step in improving my writing. She taught me important skills like show not tell and using the five senses to make my compositions more interesting. Because of her guidance, my grades improved from 2/10 to 8/10 in my compositions. One of my most memorable lessons was when she showed us how to describe scenes using vivid details—it made me feel proud and confident in my work. She also gave me small gifts to motivate me, which always encouraged me to keep trying my best. I’m truly thankful for her patience, kindness, and support!” caden sim yu she from sat class 4-6pm
“We are truly thankful to Ms. Lynette for her patience, dedication, and care. She has gone beyond just teaching by guiding our child step by step, showing them how to use skills like show not tell and the five senses to bring their writing to life. With her constant encouragement and even thoughtful gifts to motivate, our child’s confidence grew and their composition grades improved remarkably from 2/10 to 8/10. More importantly, Ms. Lynette has instilled a love for writing and learning that we deeply treasure. We are very grateful to have such an inspiring and supportive teacher in our child’s life.”

Write Edge displays a mid-range pricing tier, but specific per-session or monthly package rates are not publicly listed. Many tuition and enrichment providers in Singapore charge on a per-session basis, bundle sessions into monthly packages, or invoice termly. It is worth asking whether a separate materials fee applies, and whether a sibling discount or multi-subject package is available. A trial class, if offered, may be charged at the standard session rate or at a reduced introductory fee — confirm this when you enquire. Always clarify what happens to unused sessions if you need to pause or withdraw mid-term. See the full tuition cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition centres and enrichment providers offer a trial class so families can assess fit before signing up for a full term. When attending a trial, observe whether the teaching pace matches your child's current level, whether the tutor explains concepts clearly, and whether your child is engaged rather than passive. Ask Write Edge directly whether a trial class is available, whether it carries a fee, and whether the fee is credited against the first term if you proceed. A single session is rarely enough to judge long-term progress, but it is a useful indicator of teaching style and classroom environment.
Write Edge has not published tutor credential details on its listing. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask whether tutors hold NIE-recognised qualifications or a relevant degree, how many years of teaching experience they have, and whether they are familiar with the specific syllabus your child is following — whether MOE, IB, IGCSE, or another framework. For primary and secondary MOE syllabus, prior classroom teaching experience is particularly valuable. If your child has specific learning needs, ask whether the tutor has experience adapting delivery accordingly. Confirming credentials before committing to a term is a straightforward step that most reputable providers will accommodate.
