This is a recommended place. I have been improving tremendously when I came here . This studio provides learning materials and practice worksheets I can do at home . This place felt like a horror when I came here but my teacher thought that my English is improving from this tuition centre. My teacher, Mr Aaron has taught my daughter for a few weeks and she is improving a lot since then It teaches grammar, vocabulary skills and synthesis and transformation . I love this class as the teacher lets us participate in questions and lets us know more information around the world. If you are looking for a tuition class for English, I will recommend writers studio to you. Thank you so much Writers Studio as this made my daughter realise that I should improve and not waste time on not important stuff.
Before joining Writers Studio, I always struggled with oral as I was not confident speaking in front of teachers or people I was not very close to. However, Writers Studio and my teacher, Mrs Goh, managed to helped me overcome this challenge by providing me with many useful oral materials/tips and engaging me in conversations during class oral practices, which gradually made me feel more confident speaking and expressing my ideas clearly. Besides oral, I also had a few other English components which I wasn’t very strong in like composition, editing and comprehension close. But, Writers studio would provide me with good materials to help me with it and Mrs Goh would mark everything on site and give me constructive feedback to help me improve. Beyond class time, writer studio and Mrs Goh would go the extra mile beyond paid hours, giving us extra notes and materials, spending their afternoon holding online session for us. I would like to especially thank my teacher Mrs Goh for supporting and guiding me throughout my three years in writer studio. Mrs Goh always ensure that we learn as much in each lesson but at the same time she also try to make lessons interesting by sharing stories with us and telling us jokes. She would also treat us after our exams and reward us for our hard work. She is always willing to help me and I’m very grateful for her guidance and support. ~Dionne
I am very thankful to Mrs Goh for being a professional and a dedicated teacher. She helped me to improve by 3 grades for my PSLE in less than 6 months. She is always there when I needed her.To me she is not just a mentor but also a mentor. Writer Studio helps changes students lives. Before I joined this tuition, I did not I have any confidence. However, with Mrs Goh’s advice and constant encouragement, I believed in myself. Thank you Mrs Goh. I hope you can continue to be a great teacher and inspire the lives of many students.
Thank you ,Mrs Goh. Heartfelt gratitude for helping my daughter! She improved from AL6 to AL3 within a few months for her PSLE. I hope this Studio continues to help as many kids she can reach out to. Thank you very much to all the staff too for all their awesome support!
My child has been with Teacher Edmund for her PSLE journey and has achieved AL1. Teacher Edmund has been extremely helpful and shown alot of patience in guiding my child throughout her PSLE journey. He is also very approachable and always takes extra effort to explain and conduct extra lessons leading up to PSLE for the class. Very grateful for having him to guide my child.

Writers Studio displays a mid-range pricing indicator but does not publicly list exact per-session or monthly fees, so you will need to contact them directly for a precise quote. As a general reference, private tuition in Singapore typically ranges from S$40–80 per hour for group sessions and S$60–150 or more per hour for one-to-one, depending on the tutor's experience and the subject level. Ask whether fees are charged per session, as a monthly package, or on a per-term basis. Enquire also about any materials fees, registration charges, or sibling discounts that may apply. It is reasonable to ask Writers Studio whether a trial class is available before committing to a full term or package. A trial session allows you to assess whether the teaching style suits your child's learning pace, whether the level and syllabus alignment are appropriate, and whether the environment is conducive to focused study. During or after the trial, pay attention to how the tutor explains concepts, whether they adapt to the student's gaps, and whether your child feels comfortable engaging. Some providers charge a nominal fee for trial classes; confirm this upfront so there are no surprises before the first session.
Writers Studio's listing does not specify individual tutor qualifications, so it is advisable to ask directly about educational background, teaching experience, and familiarity with the relevant syllabus — whether MOE mainstream, Integrated Programme, IGCSE, or IB. Key questions to ask include whether tutors have prior NIE training or classroom teaching experience, the number of years they have been tutoring the specific subject, and whether they are familiar with recent examination formats and marking schemes. Requesting a brief tutor profile or introductory conversation before committing to a term is a reasonable step, particularly for examination-year students. Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
