I find Yanzi effective because the materials the teachers use are very concise and straight to the point. The teachers are not only strict about the quality of our work, but they also care about their students’ wellbeing. Whenever a student falls behind, the teacher makes sure that he or she catches up with the rest of the class. Even if it means sacrificing her rest time, the teacher will always go the extra mile to help her students. I remember that as my Chinese O Levels drew nearer, I was extremely nervous and had little confidence that I would do well. However, my Yanzi teacher constantly encouraged me and reminded me that she believed in me, which motivated me to keep going. During that period, I would often text my teachers and visit the centre several times a week to submit practice papers. Despite her busy schedule, my teacher still marked all my work and gave me detailed feedback, including tips and strategies to handle different types of essays and Paper 2 questions. Another thing I like about Yanzi Tuition Centre is its small class size, which makes it much easier for students to speak up and ask questions.
