For a first visit, patients can expect a GP consultation covering acute illnesses, chronic disease management, and referrals where specialist review is needed. Investigations such as blood panels, urine tests, and basic imaging may be ordered on-site or referred to a nearby diagnostic facility. Patients managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or lipid disorders may be eligible for the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for outpatient treatment of listed conditions. For planned specialist care, a GP referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic typically reduces consultation fees to S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens, though non-urgent waits of four to twelve weeks are common. Prescriptions are dispensed at the clinic; bring your NRIC and any existing medication list for the first consultation.
To arrange a visit, call the clinic directly using the phone number listed on this page to confirm current consultation hours and whether an appointment is required or walk-ins are accepted.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
I am angry until speechless + my head is killing me right now I used three different type of thermometer forehead (1.15pm at home, had taken one fever pill) , ear ( 10plus am from office) and under the tongue( 1230plus minus at home) . All reading are consistent 38 degree and above. Meanwhile doc just scan my head, 37.1 degree ( howwwwwwwwwww???? Perhaps I sat right below the aircon as I waited for him? Wth.... I chose that seat because thats the nearest seat?) and declare than I don't have fever. And shoo me off with 4 puny meds. FOUR PILLS LEI. 4PILLS Says to come back again if needed? Hello Mr Doc, people already say that I felt like a car had bang onto me and is extremely unwell. You still want patient to crawl out of bed to find you? Why :(! Sorethoart meds. One day onli ?? Doctor declare my throat is ok. I had shared that I had been surviving on panadol as I find swallowing painful. Since different people diff pain tolerance, I can 勉强 accept doc's response. The fever 's one I legit tilted until now. 4 puny meds. 4! Coughs meds I shall leave out of this as he did gave enough.
We recently moved to the block nearby so we thought to give this neighborhood doctor a chance. Worst clinic to experience. Not only lack professionalism doctor and receptionist both tardy. Clinic supposedly open by 6:30pm. Waited until 6:50 then open. Didn’t apologize instead blame traffic jam. When dispensing medication, can see that the receptionist open up the new bottle to divide into 30mls bottle to give to patients. Is that even legal??! So unhygienic! Also. How long can that small bottle last. so kiam siap then charge full bottle. Medication slab was cut into half. There was even a medication given 4 tablet only.. walaowei. What is this.. first time i see a practice so stingy with medication. whoever have the resources, this practice has to be reported..
Very disappointed with the service at this clinic. The doctor was not punctual and kept us waiting for 15 minutes past the clinic opening hours. While waiting, both of my children got bitten by mosquitoes outside the clinic. When we finally saw the doctor, I explained that my kids were suffering from constipation. However, he didn’t examine them properly and only advised them to drink more water. No medication was prescribed for the issue, which felt careless and unhelpful. On top of that, they were each prescribed only 30ml of cough syrup and runny nose medicine—far too little to be effective. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I would not recommend this clinic, especially for children.
This clinic does not have professional doctor. I not recommended to all of you. I try once and last to visit this clinic. I really can’t accept this doctor consultation attitude and totally no experience at all. Not friendly at all.
Have been visiting Dr. Yap for over 16 years. Very experienced doctor who goes the extra mile to listen and understand to all the issues/ symptoms before prescribing any medication.

GP consultations at private family clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up visits at the lower end of that range. Common add-ons billed separately include investigations (blood panel S$60–200, urine test S$15–40, X-ray S$80–150), prescriptions, and any procedures performed during the consultation. GST applies on private medical services. For Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents on CHAS (Community Health Assist Scheme), subsidised GP visits at enrolled clinics are significantly cheaper — Orange Card holders pay S$10.50–23.50 and Blue Card holders pay S$3.50–11.50 per visit depending on the condition. Confirm whether Yap Family Clinic Marsiling Rise is a CHAS-enrolled clinic before your visit, as this affects your out-of-pocket cost materially. For any planned procedure or referral, request a written breakdown of expected costs, including the MediSave-claimable portion, before proceeding. No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration appears in the provider data currently held by KakiList for this clinic. Both are mandatory — every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, and every practising doctor must appear on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg. Before booking, search the doctor's name on the SMC register to confirm active registration status and that there is no disciplinary history. The MOH licensee directory can be used to verify the clinic premises licence. These are separate checks and both matter — neither alone is sufficient. If either cannot be confirmed, contact the clinic directly to request the licence details before attending. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment of selected chronic conditions under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), with a withdrawal limit of S$500 per year for general outpatient MediSave use and S$700 per year for CDMP-listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, and COPD, among others. Confirm with the clinic whether it is a CDMP-accredited provider, as not all GP clinics are enrolled. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient admissions and day surgery rather than routine GP consultations, though some plans include outpatient riders — check your policy terms before assuming coverage. CHAS subsidies apply at enrolled clinics for Singapore Citizens and PRs who hold a valid CHAS card. For any planned investigation or referral that may lead to a procedure, ask the clinic for a written cost estimate that separates the insurance-payable, MediSave-deductible, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
