About Yew's Tuition Centre
Yew's Tuition Centre is a tuition centre operating islandwide from its location at Blk 678A Woodlands Avenue 6, #03-07 Admiralty Place, Singapore 731678. It is KakiList verified and ACRA registered. The centre holds a Google rating of 3.9 out of 5, though this is based on 21 reviews and should be treated as directional only at this sample size. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though a specific per-session or monthly fee was not provided.
Families typically begin by enquiring about the level and syllabus fit — whether the centre covers primary, secondary, or junior college content, and whether it aligns with the MOE syllabus or international curricula such as IGCSE or IB. From there, prospective students can ask about group versus one-to-one sessions, the class size for group formats, and whether tuition is conducted in person at the Woodlands centre or is also available online. It is worth clarifying the term commitment upfront, as some centres require payment by term while others offer month-to-month flexibility. A trial class, if offered, is a useful way to assess whether the teaching style and lesson pace suit your child before committing.
To take the next step, reach out to Yew's Tuition Centre via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about available slots for your child's level, confirm the session format and fees, and arrange a trial class if one is available.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
My child has been attending Creative Writing classes at Yews Tuition Centre, Woodlands since Primary 2, and I’m so happy with his progress! His writing skills have improved a lot, and he’s become much more confident in expressing his ideas. The teachers are amazing — always supportive and encouraging. The weekly materials are well-prepared and very helpful for exam preparation. A big thank you Mrs. Yew for your wonderful teaching and guidance. We truly appreciate all that you do!
I do not understand how is it beneficial to punish a child who did not do his tuition homework and write 5 pages of repeated phrases to 'help' them remember. I paid tuition for positive guidance not mental torture. We withdrew after 2 mths because I do no believe on practise till you make it. Children have diverse needs and understanding. Would not recommend this centre.
I would like to thank Mrs Yew for all her guidance and support in teaching me English, Math, and Science and preparing us for PSLE. She always explains things clearly and makes lessons enjoyable and easy to understand. I’ve been feeling more confident in these subjects and I’ve learned a lot from her lessons. Thank you, Mrs Yew, for your patience, care, and encouragement! I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a good tutor to go to YTC.
We’ve been very happy with Yew’s Tuition, especially to Mrs Yew & Mr Chew over the past year. The teachers are caring and attentive, always taking the time to update parents on our child, Abram’s progress. Their commitment and effort go above and beyond what we expected. I truly appreciate their dedication and would gladly recommend Yew’s Tuition to other parents!
My son Javier was taught by Mr. Chew for 3 years. Mr. Chew is very passionate in his work, takes initiative to update student tasks & homework. He is strict in class but treats his students fairly. 😊👍

Yew's Tuition Centre has not published a specific per-session rate, so you will need to contact the centre directly to confirm current fees. As a general reference, group tuition in Singapore typically ranges from S$30 to S$80 per session depending on the subject, level, and class size, while one-to-one sessions can run S$60 to S$150 or more per hour. Ask whether fees are charged per session, as a monthly package, or by the school term. Also clarify whether there is a registration fee, any charge for printed materials or workbooks, and whether sibling discounts or package deals are available. Many tuition centres in Singapore offer a trial class — sometimes at a reduced rate, sometimes at the standard session fee — so it is worth asking Yew's Tuition Centre directly whether a trial is available and what it costs. A trial session lets you assess whether the pace and difficulty level are appropriate for your child, how the tutor explains concepts, and whether the class environment suits your child's learning style. Use the trial to note whether the tutor checks for understanding rather than simply covering material, and whether your child feels comfortable asking questions. If the centre offers only group classes, also check the class size during the trial, as a smaller group generally allows for more individual attention.
Specific tutor credentials for Yew's Tuition Centre are not publicly listed, so it is advisable to ask directly before committing to a term. Key questions to raise include whether tutors hold a degree in the subject they teach, whether any have a background with NIE or prior MOE teaching experience, and how many years they have been teaching the relevant syllabus. Also confirm whether the tutor who conducts the trial class is the same person who will teach regular sessions, and whether there is a process in place if a tutor is absent or leaves the centre mid-term. Syllabus alignment — particularly for PSLE, O-Level, or A-Level preparation — is worth verifying explicitly.
