About YishunOne Family Clinic

About YishunOne Family Clinic

YishunOne Family Clinic is a general practice clinic located at 743 Yishun Avenue 5 in the Nee Soon area of northern Singapore. It has been verified by KakiList, and holds a Google rating of 4.5 out of 5 across 25 reviews — a moderate sample that suggests broadly positive patient experience, though it should be treated with some caution at this sample size. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the listing data at this time.

Patients visiting a GP clinic typically start with a walk-in or phone appointment for acute concerns such as fever, respiratory illness, skin conditions, or minor injuries. The clinic can also manage chronic conditions under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, and asthma, and allows eligible patients to use MediSave for outpatient treatment. Health screening packages are another common reason to attend, ranging from basic fasting blood panels to more comprehensive cardiovascular and cancer-marker workups. For conditions requiring specialist input, the GP can issue a referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic, which reduces the consultation fee substantially for Singapore Citizens compared with self-referral to a private specialist.

To get started, contact YishunOne Family Clinic by phone or through the enquiry form to confirm current consultation hours, walk-in availability, and whether a specific concern can be handled at the visit — particularly if you require CDMP registration, a referral letter, or a health screening package.

Terrible Queue Management and No Accountability. Reached 1:30 PM sharp, the shutters in the receptionist window was closed but still can sit. sit there quietly minding my own business. Nobody else around. Slowly people start to come in. Then at 1:55 PM, once the shutter open, suddenly everyone say they come first. Wah. The worst part — the receptionist also no use one. She see me sitting there the whole time when she first left then come back but still let other people cut queue. Receptionist got eyes problem apparently or memory problem ….. If like that, next time I also come at 1:59 and just cut everyone. Why I come early for what? Waste my time only. No proper system, no respect for people who follow the rules.

Dr Chung has been my family physician for many years, including my husband, 2 children, and my helper. We alll love him as he’s such a patient, caring, and loving Dr who genuinely works from his heart. Thank you Dr Chung for being a blessing to the community!

I was around the neighbourhood to walk into a clinic. Central 24 Hrs clinic was very messy and packed with people. Healthway was not available as they were waiting for covering resident doctor and I try my luck to visit this clinic. Surprisingly, the staff was attentive and attended to me immediately when she noticed I walked in and looked lost. Then, Dr Chung attended to me. He provided excellent advice and was helpful in arranging my case to be treated and ease my worries or hassle. Would recommend people to visit this clinic if they are not feeling well living around the neighbourhood or North area. Keep up the great work!

Dr Chung listened to me and gave me the appropriate and adequate medications. I felt comfortable to talk to him. The receptionist, a tall Chinese young lady was informative and clear with information. I had a good, fast experience with this clinic. I had called up S S clinic which is nearby. The lady who spoke to me on the phone said "I have a lot of things to do. I don't have time to answer you. Please come in person to ask questions". I am glad I didn't go there and went to YishunOne where I had a much better experience.

The receptionist is not friendly at all. The doctor only will come at 9.30am. So please do not come at 9am as you wasted your time here just for waiting. May change to other clinic next time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does YishunOne Family Clinic charge?

GP consultations at private family clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up visits generally at the lower end of that range. Investigations billed on top may include a blood panel at S$60–200, a urine test at S$20–50, or an X-ray at S$80–150, depending on what the doctor orders. Prescriptions are charged separately from the consultation fee, and GST applies on private medical services. For patients managing chronic conditions under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), subsidised consultation fees apply at CHAS-accredited clinics, and MediSave can be used within the S$500–700 outpatient withdrawal limits. Confirm with YishunOne Family Clinic directly whether they are CHAS-accredited and what the current fee schedule is, as pricing is not publicly listed. Is YishunOne Family Clinic MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — this is verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm the doctor's registration status and any disciplinary history. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the current listing data for YishunOne Family Clinic. This does not necessarily mean the clinic is unlicensed, but it does mean the listing alone is insufficient to verify compliance. Before attending, search the clinic's registered name on the MOH licensee directory and confirm the consulting doctor's name on the SMC register. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at YishunOne Family Clinic?

For outpatient GP visits, MediSave can be used under the S$500 annual withdrawal limit for general outpatient care, or up to S$700 per year for conditions covered under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — these include hypertension, type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, stroke, COPD, and selected mental health conditions. Confirm with the clinic whether they are a CHAS-accredited GP and whether CDMP registration has been completed for your condition, as both are required to unlock MediSave outpatient claims. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and day surgery rather than routine GP outpatient visits, though some IP riders include outpatient specialist coverage. For any planned referral or procedure arising from a GP visit, ask the clinic for a pre-treatment cost estimate that separates insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions in writing before proceeding. CHAS subsidies for eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs can also reduce the out-of-pocket consultation fee at accredited GP clinics — check your CHAS card tier at healthhub.sg before your visit.
