ZLC has been recommended to me by 3 of my friends. My friends are generally quite particular about quality of carpentry, functionality and service (much more so than replicating a popular interior design style out of Qanvast). So when they recommended ZLC to me, I had a good feeling I was in good hands! Unsure whether ZLC is design-centric or more of a contractor/project manager sort, I went ahead to “design” my ideal space with Google Slides 😂 Since the day I met up with my assigned project manager Athan on Zoom, to this very day, you have no idea how grateful I am. Grateful that not only did a dodgy ID firm not botch my house and run away with my money (considering all the nightmare stories), and also incredibly grateful that I met a very knowledgeable designer and project manager grounded on good values. In Chinese we call this a 贵人 😂 Athan is design and archi-trained, and I suppose that’s why he is super knowledgeable in the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of things, beyond the design and aesthetics aspect. He understands that ergonomics and functionality come first, and is able to articulate and explain very well to all my questions. He has generally good product knowledge of fittings and materials also. I am the kind who has five million questions from Stage 1 to Stage 10 and so far he has answered every of my question. Beyond his knowledge and coordination skills, I think what’s impeccable is his ethics. Every step of the way, he has been very accountable and very responsive. A few times there were some timeline and design issues to troubleshoot, he always went out of the way to help me out and eventually resolved the problems. Some of the things he did, he didn’t have to do so but did it out of his own goodwill. My handover is very soon and the space is 99% done. It has been a very assuring journey thus far. So far, the quality of carpentry, tiling and electrical works is great. Big thank you to ZLC for their timely delivery of milestones, and their strong and skilful team of in-house contractors!

As newcomers to the process, we had numerous questions and concerns, but the team was incredibly patient and kind, guiding us with clarity and professionalism every step of the way. Their responsiveness and clear communication stood out, and they were always ready to address our concerns with a positive attitude. ZLC has officially handover my renovated unit to me today on schedule, and I would like to express my gratitude by giving a big thanks to the whole team especially Sean and Jun! The whole renovation journey started in April with the first discussion with Sean on my requirements, design concepts and budget etc. The process was smooth sailing with many good design works and recommendations from him all the way till the materials selection. Thereafter, renovation works commenced and Jun had managed the on site work closely with Sean and us. All the planned works were done well and all issues were resolved promptly. Both Sean and Jun are professional in their works and we are pleased to see our brand new home finally comes to shape from design to real actual completed works in front of our eyes. High quality workmanship, all on schedule! Kudos to both of them once again, and not forgetting the boss Jake whom I know is supporting and advising them strongly and quietly from the back. Highly recommended to anyone who wants their dream home to become a reality!

This is our 2nd home and it was also our 2nd time doing renovation. From the very first meeting with Athan and Jake, they gave us the impression that they are reliable and won’t recommend us to follow reno trends just for the sake of it. We shared with Athan what we wanted for our home, he patiently listened to us and took down notes. He also shared with us his thoughts and ideas, at the same time highlighting what works and what doesn’t. We were on a very tight schedule to move in by a certain date, and we’re so glad they were able to deliver within the timeline. Over the course of the renovation, Athan was always very responsive to our questions and concerns. While we were overseas during the renovation, he diligently kept us updated about the progress. He also always tries his very best to solve any issues that arose during that time. Overall, we really appreciate his candor and sincere efforts throughout our entire reno journey! We definitely won’t hesitate to recommend ZLC, particularly designer Athan, to any of our friends and family.

We set our heart and mind to look for a contractor instead of an ID right from the start and was even convinced after a session with Jake that this is the best choice. Jake and his team provided us valuable input and were very professional in their service and workmanship. They have their own carpentry in SG which helps greatly when we needed advices and confirmation of the work. We had some weird ideas that were not common with the team’s usual work, but nevertheless because of the team’s extensive experiences and skills, Jake was able to source for a solution for us and materialized our ideas :) Of course, no renovation is 100% smooth and mistakes free, but we were grateful that Jake and his team were very transparent and quick to pick up mistakes, and the issues were rectified very quickly and efficiently! That’s more important to us than having a total issues-free process. Overall, we are very pleased with their service and the end result of the renovation. ZLC is apparently very popular and their slots are quick to be taken up so i would advise to book them as early as you can!
