About 1st Synergy Employment Pte Ltd
1st Synergy Employment Pte Ltd is a maid agency operating islandwide from its office at 170 Upper Bukit Timah Road, offering helper placement services for households across Singapore. It has been listed on KakiList as verified, though no ACRA registration, MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, or regulatory credentials have been confirmed in the available data. The agency holds 2.6 out of 5 across 5 Google reviews — this is a very small sample and should be treated as directional only.
Households engaging a maid agency in Singapore should confirm the agency holds a valid MOM EA Licence before paying any deposit — this is verifiable on MOM's online EA directory by agency name or licence number. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, contracts, and invoices. Key cost considerations include the placement fee (new-hire placements typically S$1,500–3,500; transfer helpers typically S$500–1,500), the helper's monthly salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience), and the monthly MOM levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary for households with a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability). Confirm what is bundled into the fee — mandatory FDW insurance, Settling-In Programme, medical examination, and Work Permit application — versus what is billed separately.
Contact 1st Synergy Employment Pte Ltd by phone or via the enquiry form to ask for the EA Licence number, source-country options, replacement guarantee window, and a full written breakdown of all fees before proceeding. I agreed with Jessie, this agency the lady was nice, but husband name Patrick only listened one sided story, and help helper without listening to employer side. Plus he was super rude on the phone with my husband, and straight away assume is our fault just becuase my helper call him and tell him her part of story. I have cctv recorded of her talking to Patrick and they still lied to me that my helper did not contact them but my helper was on speaker so it was Patrick that advice her, and shortly after the call, she run out of house. So is this fair and honesty?
I would highly recommend 1st Synergy Employment for those that are looking for domestic helper. They are very transparent on their charges and they also provide proper training to the helper which is total9ly different from other agencies that I had engaged helpers from previously. Not only that, they still render their kind assistance to me even though the helper that I had hired from them has been working with me for the past 3 years.
Had a horrible experience with 1st synergy employment agency. People please do not engage this agency located at 170 Upper Bukit Timah Road. I was liaising with Patrick Ng whom I believe is the owner of the agency. Their services were poor. If you encounter any issues with the domestic helpers, the agency will take the sides of the helpers. Poor and rude after-sales service by Patrick Ng. If can I will give 0 star to this company!
Good service and customer oriented. Understand what we need, and able to find a maid that meet our expectations. Ms. May is very friendly, professional and provides a lot of guidance and advice. Will definitely recommended 1st synergy to family and friends

Placement fees vary depending on whether you are hiring a new helper or a transfer helper. New-hire placements in Singapore typically run S$1,500–3,500; transfer helpers (already in Singapore on an existing Work Permit) are usually S$500–1,500. 1st Synergy Employment Pte Ltd's specific fees are not published, so request a written breakdown before committing. Beyond the placement fee, budget for the helper's monthly salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the monthly MOM levy — S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary if your household includes a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability. Confirm whether mandatory FDW insurance (~S$300–600 per year), the Settling-In Programme, the pre-employment medical exam, and Work Permit application fees are bundled or charged separately. Every legitimate maid agency in Singapore must hold a MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence — and this is publicly verifiable on MOM's online EA directory by agency name or licence number. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, all contracts, and invoices. EA Grading runs from A+ to C; agencies graded A+ or A have stronger compliance and complaint-handling records. At the time of this listing, no MOM EA Licence has been confirmed for 1st Synergy Employment Pte Ltd in the available data. Hiring through an unlicensed agent is illegal under Singapore law, leaves you with no recourse if a placement breaks down, and can void your FDW insurance. Verify the licence number directly on the MOM EA directory before paying any deposit. Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
A standard replacement guarantee typically covers a window of around six months from the helper's arrival date, with one or two replacements included at no additional charge. What voids the guarantee matters — a documented mismatch in skills or temperament is generally covered, whereas a change of mind by the employer may not be. Additional replacements beyond the covered number usually incur a fee. Also clarify the early-termination process: if a placement breaks down outside the guarantee window, the household is responsible for the helper's repatriation flight, Work Permit cancellation paperwork, and any unused MOM levy refund process. These costs can be significant, so understanding them upfront is important. 1st Synergy Employment Pte Ltd's specific replacement policy is not available in the current listing — contact the agency directly to get the full terms in writing before signing any agreement.
