New clients typically begin with an initial consultation at which the psychiatrist or counsellor takes a full history, discusses presenting concerns, and agrees on a care pathway. This may lead to ongoing therapy sessions, psychiatric assessment, or a combination of both. Session frequency varies by clinical need, from weekly counselling to less frequent psychiatric reviews. Those considering treatment should enquire about waiting times for a first appointment, whether sessions are conducted in-person or via teleconsultation, the cancellation and no-show policy, and whether claims can be made against a company employee assistance programme, MediShield Life (where applicable for inpatient or day procedures), or a private integrated shield plan.
To get started, call the clinic directly or submit an enquiry via the contact form on their listing to ask about appointment availability and to confirm whether your presenting concern falls within the clinic's scope.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
I would like to express my deepest appreciation for Dr. John Bosco Lee at Adelphi PsychMedicine Clinic. He is truly the best psychiatrist I have ever met. Not only is he highly experienced, but he is also humble, patient, and exceptionally thoughtful in his approach. Dr. Lee’s treatment strategy was remarkably precise. Although I have seen similar specialists before, his methods helped me recover much more quickly than I expected. I genuinely admire his medical expertise. Beyond his professionalism, Dr. Lee has a refined artistic taste. His clinic is located in a building known for high-end audio stores, and his office is filled with beautiful artworks that create a calm and inspiring environment. I am sincerely grateful for his care and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking the very best in psychiatric treatment.
Dr John is very trustworthy and experienced. He gives only his best for his patients and listens very patiently. His medication has greatly improved my condition with the least side effects and I’m extremely grateful to him. Ms Joanna, who Dr John referred me to, has also helped me better understand myself from a personality point of view and resolve internal conflicts. The clinic and staff are also warm and friendly. Highly recommend this sincere team if you require professional advice and support.

Janice has been integral towards my recovery journey from GAD and MDD. A compassionate listener, therapy with Janice always feels like a safe space to work on my traumas both past and recent. If you require therapy for any mental health conditions or just life situations and curveballs, I highly recommend Janice with her wealth of experience and clinically proven techniques, you will be in very good hands.
I benefitted a lot from this psychology clinic. The team behind this clinic, and psychiatrist Dr Boscoe, are passionate and caring specialists and although, indeed, they are on the pricier side, but looking back it was money's worth, as I may have spent them on frivolous things instead. I think everyone has their helpful or unhelpful experience with a psychologist, I wouldn't deny, but indeed, it was rocky at the start and questioned myself if all the medicine and sessions were helping at all even within the second year. But I think it took time, and I was happy to be honest in every session and that's how I received a proper course of perspective. And... once I even scoffed, if you are teaching me supplementary reading, then why should I still pay for sessions? I believe the answer is this: It's just like self-help books and why it works for people and why some don't: A book is not a human, it is only a guide. Psychologists and Psychiatrists are human and trained to teach and design a course to you in the right direction. This. Is the very difference what sets clinics apart. Anyway, in my situation, I only saw results after I decided my last session was "done", and took few months to consider my actions, accepted the past and took a new path of life. And so, my advice to anyone starting a premium psychology clinic is to know that results take time, years even, and most importantly, learn and give your feelings with an open heart. Good luck with anybody out there. Late 2022 - mid 2025 (from diagnosis to stability).

Adelphi Psych Medicine Clinic is priced in the mid-range ($$), but specific session fees were not published at the time of listing. As a general guide, private psychiatric consultations in Singapore typically run S$150–350 per session, while counselling or psychotherapy sessions run S$100–250. An initial assessment with a psychiatrist may be higher than a follow-up review. Confirm the exact consultation fee, whether a separate assessment report fee applies, and whether GST is included before your first appointment. Some private integrated shield plans and employer EAP programmes partially reimburse outpatient mental health costs — check your policy and ask the clinic whether they issue receipts in the format your insurer requires. Most private psychiatric and counselling clinics in Singapore accept self-referrals — you do not need a GP letter to book an initial appointment. That said, bringing a referral from your GP or polyclinic can be useful: it provides clinical background, may support an insurance or MediShield Life claim if inpatient admission becomes necessary, and can speed up the intake process. At a first visit you will typically complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, presenting symptoms, and goals for treatment. The clinician uses this to determine whether medication, therapy, or a combined approach is appropriate. Mention any contraindications or prior mental health treatment when booking so the clinic can assign the right professional for your needs.
Psychiatrists practising in Singapore must be registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and hold a valid Practising Certificate, renewable annually. Psychologists practising under the voluntary Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) scheme, and counsellors accredited by the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC), each have publicly accessible registers you can check before booking. Adelphi Psych Medicine Clinic did not list specific regulatory licences in the KakiList submission. Before your first appointment, ask for the full name of the clinician who will see you and verify their registration on the SMC's online register at www.smc.gov.sg. If you will be working with a psychologist or counsellor, ask which professional body they are registered or accredited with. This step protects you and ensures any subsequent insurance or CPF MediSave claims are handled by a recognised practitioner.
