I do not understand why do I need to key in my ic number when calling the 1800 hotline for simple enquires purposes. Is pdpa used for such purposes? It’s just like when calling to ask if the company offer such services and first need to provide your identification before any question is being answered. I felt violated on this process. Received AIC text on Project Silver Screen on Thursday. Event is scheduled on Saturday. I made a call to hotline number on Friday to book an appointment. Did not want to take walk-in risk. Was informed by Saleha that she cannot assist in booking as 7 working days is required for phone booking. Even after explaining that I only received the notification at short notice, she kept insisting no less than 4 times the 7WD protocol. Unhelpful & rigid in approach. However, my husband who also called on Friday managed to get a booking by calling the hotline!! Made another call & this time Doris agreed to assist in the booking after some explanation. She is more empathetic & flexible. It is troubling that communication timing is poorly managed & cannot meet the 7 working days guidelines. There is no online self service option so have to make a call but the telephone booking support is inconsistent, inflexible & lacks empathy. Their only solution is to ask seniors to walk in. What if a senior with mobility issue get turned away by the screening center, without a booking on hand? The 7WD booking protocol is very poorly rolled out & suggests poor coordination between the teams. Text message sent is unclear, no mention that walk in is allowed or how to make a booking. Need major review & overhaul.
