About Alliance Counselling
Alliance Counselling is a counselling practice located at 501 Bukit Timah Road, offering services islandwide from its Bukit Timah premises. The listing has been verified by KakiList, though ACRA registration has not been confirmed. Prospective clients typically begin with an initial consultation to discuss presenting concerns — whether anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, or workplace stress — after which the counsellor will recommend a suitable approach and session frequency. It is worth asking whether sessions are conducted individually, as a couple, or in a family format, and whether the practice offers video sessions for those who cannot attend in person. Confirming the counsellor's professional background, therapeutic modality, and any relevant specialist experience before committing to a course of sessions is advisable.
To take the next step, contact Alliance Counselling by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to ask about availability, session format, and fees before booking your first appointment.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Over the years Dawn has been a great partner in our journey with BPD, over and beyond being a therapist she has been a great comfort to our family. Her approach is holistic, considering family members, dynamics, circumstances, and she is genuinely concerned abt our wellbeing. She also managed to break down walls we could not get through, enabling us to have insights and a better understanding. She's also been very patient and understanding of our ever evolving situation
To date, I’m still traumatized by my experience w Cristina. She was imposing of her odd views and values, condemning and plainly put, unprofessional. I’ve since learnt that there are good therapists out there and there are bad, and a bad one can really make or break you.
Cristina Gonzalez has good communication skills and expresses herself clearly. However she was not able to realign the counseling on facts and goal and therefore we all get lost in useless blathering. I do not recommend for practical mediation.
I do not recommend dr Sara. After several sessions, it was still pretty much at fact-finding stage (no diagnosis) and a lot of personal issues I have either managed to find out through internet sources or work it out on my own. Could not connect with the therapist and did not find the sessions useful. It’s totally a waste of money!!
Great service by Alliance counselling and Cristina. I’d strongly encourage and recommend everyone

Alliance Counselling does not publicly list a per-session rate, so you will need to enquire directly by phone or via the contact form. Singapore market context: private counselling sessions typically run S$100–200 per 50-minute hour for a general practitioner, with psychologists and clinical social workers sometimes charging S$150–250. Initial consultation fees may differ from ongoing session fees, and some practices offer package rates for a block of sessions. Confirm whether a first-consultation fee applies, what the cancellation or no-show policy is, and whether sessions are claimable under an employer's Employee Assistance Programme or private health insurance. Most counselling practices in Singapore accept self-referrals — you do not need a GP letter to book an initial session. The first appointment typically involves an intake conversation covering your presenting concerns, mental health history, and goals for counselling, which helps the counsellor determine the most appropriate therapeutic approach and session frequency. A GP referral can be useful if you intend to claim under a Medisave-approved psychiatric scheme or if your insurer requires a referral for reimbursement. If your concerns involve complex psychiatric conditions or medication, a referral to a psychiatrist (rather than a counsellor) may be more appropriate — a GP can help navigate that distinction.
In Singapore, the title 'counsellor' is not currently a protected title under statute, which means there is no single mandatory licence for general counselling practice. However, credentialled practitioners typically hold membership with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or are registered psychologists under the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS). Clinical psychologists who are also Allied Health Professionals may be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), verifiable on the AHPC public register. Alliance Counselling has not listed regulatory licences on this directory. Before booking, ask directly which professional body the counsellor is affiliated with, what their training background is, and whether they carry professional indemnity insurance. Confirm the practitioner's licence or membership number and verify it on the relevant body's public register before treatment.
