Families considering Alphabet Playhouse should begin by enquiring about available slots for their intended start month, as playgroup places — particularly for younger age groups — can fill quickly. When making first contact by phone or through the enquiry form, it is worth asking about the child-to-caregiver ratio, the structure of a typical daily session, and the settling-in approach for children new to a group environment. Parents of Singapore citizen children should also ask about ECDA subsidy eligibility, as subsidies may apply depending on household income and parental working status.
To take the next step, reach out to Alphabet Playhouse directly via phone or the contact form on their listing to ask about current availability and to arrange a visit to the centre before committing.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

Within a few minutes from Somerset MRT and central Alphabet @ Somerset provides daycare and learning in an excellent, safe, clean environment. It has a spacious outdoor playground where the kids can play, learn and explore new things through various activities. The teachers and staff are always friendly and helpful, and I appreciate their focus on safety and the care they provide to my kid daily. It gives a balance of play and learning and a positive influence that makes your kid thrive — highly recommended.
Nice campus with a spacious private outdoor play and water play area. Teachers are very caring and meticulous. My kid and his friends are notably happy to go to the school everyday. Location is very central and convenient as well with the Somerset MRT just around the corner. Highly recommended for parents looking for a more intimate schooling environment!
Best school ever: LOVING, NURTURING, LEARNING, and ENGAGING. My kids loved all their teachers @Alphabet. They also loved Mrs. Cat who watched over everyone at the school. My kids were so happy there that it broke my heart when we left - due to moving. My kids still talk about Alphabet and their teachers. I remember my kids used to come home and tell me about the brain: "Mom, did you know the brain helps you think?" And I would hear them sing songs and tell stories that they learned from Alphabet: "Run, run as fast as you can. You can't catch me. I'm the Gingerbread man." This school gave my kids everything I was looking for and MORE! Thank you for everything.
Both my children went to Alphabet (my youngest is still there) and the teachers are outstanding. I can see the care they have for all the kids, and every staff member seems to know the names of all, even if they are not their day to day teacher. The curriculum is a great balance of play and learning, and my children have spent years there running in and out every day with smiles on their faces.
I have very good experience with the school. The teachers are professional, nice and helpful. They takes a good care of my girl, Maya. Every day, she is looking forward to going to school. She enjoys her time in school. Fantastic! Recommend!

Alphabet Playhouse is priced in the mid-range ($$) tier on a monthly recurring basis. Beyond the monthly programme fee, families should ask about a one-off registration fee, a refundable deposit (typically equivalent to one or two months' fees), and any costs for uniforms or basic insurance cover. It is worth confirming all fees in writing before signing an enrolment agreement. Childcare and playgroup fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the figures quoted should represent the amount you pay. Singapore citizen children enrolled in ECDA-licensed childcare centres may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy (up to S$300 per month for childcare-age children), and working mothers who work 56 hours or more per month may also qualify for the Additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy. Households with a gross monthly income below certain thresholds can access the Additional Subsidy, which can bring the combined subsidy to up to S$710 per month in total. Permanent Resident children may be eligible for partial subsidies at lower quantum. Subsidy amounts and eligibility criteria are subject to change, so it is strongly recommended to check the current figures directly with ECDA at ecda.gov.sg before making enrolment decisions. Note that subsidy availability also depends on whether the centre holds the relevant ECDA licence — confirm this with Alphabet Playhouse directly.
Playgroup and childcare places at popular centres can be limited, and it is common for families to enquire three to six months ahead of their intended start date. January is the peak intake month in Singapore, aligned with the school calendar, so slots for that period tend to fill earliest. For infant care programmes, demand is particularly high and some families begin enquiring six to twelve months in advance. To secure a place, most centres require payment of a registration fee and, once a place is offered, a deposit to confirm the slot. Contact Alphabet Playhouse directly by phone or through their enquiry form to check current availability for your child's age group and preferred start month.
