About Ascend Employment Services

About Ascend Employment Services

Ascend Employment Services is a maid agency based at 111 North Bridge Road, Singapore, offering islandwide helper placement services. KakiList has verified the provider's operating details and contact channels. The agency holds a 4.4-star rating across 38 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides reasonable directional confidence. No ACRA registration has been confirmed in the data provided, and no MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence appears in the listing — prospective clients should verify the EA Licence number directly on MOM's online EA directory before proceeding.

When engaging a maid agency in Singapore, the process typically begins with clarifying your household's needs: whether you are looking for a new-hire helper or a transfer helper (who is already in Singapore and usually commands a lower placement fee), your preferred source country (Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, or Sri Lanka each have different profiles and salary benchmarks), and whether your household qualifies for the concessionary MOM levy of S$60 per month rather than the standard S$300 — applicable if you have a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability at home. The agency should walk you through the helper's monthly salary range (typically S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience), the Settling-In Programme requirement for first-time helpers, the 2-year Work Permit process, mandatory FDW insurance, and the replacement guarantee window. Confirm what is bundled into the placement fee and what is billed separately.

To begin, contact Ascend Employment Services via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to discuss your household requirements and request a full written breakdown of placement fees, helper salary expectations, levy obligations, and the replacement guarantee terms before paying any deposit.

While the initial hiring process was fine, there was a lack in after-sales support. When issues arose with our helper, it was very difficult to contact the agency and they provided no assistance or mediation whatsoever - We felt like we were on our own to resolve issues. On the helper's departure day, the agent mentioned that she had a course to attend to and couldn't come. We believe that this is a failure of their basic responsibilities. It's easy to hire from them, but failed to get help when actually needed. Would not recommend.

I engaged Ascend Employment Services in an urgent search for a nurse-aide trained helper to care for a sick loved one. From start to finish, the hiring process was seamless, and the communication was excellent. The candidates offered to us were thoroughly screened, and once we narrowed down the potential candidate, a video conference was arranged to ensure everyone was comfortable. Afterward, the administrative process was executed like clockwork. Within just a week!! our helper arrived and has since proven to be an invaluable support. I highly recommend Ascend Employment Agency for their exceptional service and reliability.

I gave full marks when MOM asked for my feedback on the services I received. Having had my fair share of bad experiences with other agents, this agency is a rare gem in an industry where many others don't deliver. They helped me find a helper who is a good fit to look after my mum. No over-promise, no hard sell, just a hassle-free experience engaging a helper from them. They are also very forthcoming in providing assistance & advice when required. I remember going back with chocolates to thank them because they truly deserve it. Once again, thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Ascend Employment Services charge?

Placement fees for a new-hire helper typically run S$1,500–3,500 with most Singapore agencies; a transfer helper already in Singapore is generally cheaper at S$500–1,500. On top of the agency fee, budget for the helper's monthly salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the monthly MOM levy — S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary if your household includes a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability. Confirm what is bundled into the quoted placement fee — mandatory FDW insurance (~S$300–600 per year), the Settling-In Programme, pre-employment medical exam, and Work Permit application are sometimes included and sometimes billed separately. Is Ascend Employment Services MOM-licensed?

Every legitimate maid agency in Singapore must hold an MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is verifiable by name or licence number on MOM's online EA directory. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, contracts, and invoices. No EA Licence is listed in Ascend Employment Services' current KakiList data, so verifying this directly on the MOM directory before engaging the agency is strongly advised. EA Grading runs from A+ to C; agencies rated A+ or A have stronger compliance and complaint-handling records. Hiring through an unlicensed agent is illegal, leaves you with no recourse if the helper absconds or the agency closes, and can void your FDW insurance. Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses carefully.

What replacement guarantee does Ascend Employment Services offer?

A standard replacement guarantee typically covers a window of around six months from the helper's arrival date. Confirm how many replacements are included within that window, what circumstances void the guarantee (genuine mismatch versus a change of preference), and what the cost is for any additional replacements beyond what is included. Also clarify the early-termination process should the placement break down outside the guarantee window — repatriation flight costs, refund of any unused MOM levy, and Work Permit cancellation paperwork generally fall on the household at that point. Understanding these terms before signing protects you from unexpected costs later. Contact Ascend Employment Services directly via WhatsApp or phone to request the replacement and termination terms in writing before committing.
