However, after the agent fee was collected, communication deteriorated significantly. • The first agent, Lawrence James, became completely unresponsive. • The second contact, who claimed to be the boss (also named Lawrence), was frequently “overseas” and would only reply after repeated follow-ups, if at all. • A third staff member, Joy, retrieved my details from their internal records, but the information provided was incorrect. After I clarified my actual requirements, there was no further response or follow-up. My requirements were clearly stated: basic household chores and looking after a baby. Although the helper was presented as having experience in infant care, her actual capability did not reflect this: • She was unable to hold the baby confidently or safely, and feeding was not done properly. • As a result, we decided not to allow her to take care of the baby, and assigned her only basic household chores. Despite this reduced scope of work, further issues arose: • In the first week, an entire box of clothes was ruined by washing black and white clothes together, despite clear instructions given. • Household items were broken. • Floors were not mopped properly and dishes were consistently left oily and unclean. • The helper followed a fixed schedule of 7am to 7pm and took naps during the day without informing or asking. • When outside, she was constantly on her phone, which was inappropriate. Additionally, the helper shared that in her previous household, she was required to care for a baby at night and feed the baby twice, but she only fed once because she was tired. This raised serious concerns about her reliability in infant care. Overall, this experience reflects poor service quality, lack of accountability, and insufficient post-placement support from the agency. Based on my experience, I would advise others to exercise caution and consider agencies with more reliable communication and after-sales support.
