About Autism Recovery Network (ARN)

About Autism Recovery Network (ARN)

Autism Recovery Network (ARN) is a special needs school based at Joo Chiat Road, Singapore, serving families islandwide. The listing has been verified by KakiList, meaning operating details and contact information have been confirmed by a real person. ARN holds a 4.6-star rating across 58 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal of the experience families have reported.

Families typically begin by confirming whether ARN's programme is suited to their child's specific diagnosis and developmental profile. A diagnostic report from a developmental paediatrician, registered psychologist, or MOE Psychological Service is generally required before a placement assessment can proceed. Parents are encouraged to enquire about an observation visit or intake assessment so the education and therapy team can evaluate fit with the child's needs. Special needs schools at this level typically integrate therapists — speech-language, occupational, and sometimes physiotherapy — within the school day, and operate with a low teacher-to-student ratio (commonly 1:3 to 1:6) to support structured learning. It is worth clarifying with ARN what transition pathways they support, whether towards mainstream school reintegration, vocational preparation, or continued SPED placement.

To take the next step, contact ARN directly by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to request an intake consultation and to ask about current availability for your child's age group and diagnostic profile.

Our journey with ARN over the past few months has been truly wonderful. We enrolled our child a few months ago and the progress we’ve seen has been remarkable. He has started communicating with us and is now responding with words—something that was not happening earlier. We have also noticed significant improvement in his eating habits. Earlier, he was very selective with food, but with the support and guidance from ARN, he is now able to finish his meals and is gradually trying new foods as well. The team has helped immensely in developing these skills. The teachers have been extremely compassionate and supportive throughout our journey. If you are looking for therapy services for your child, ARN is truly an excellent place to consider. Thank you ARN, for all the care, patience and support you’ve given our child.

Amazing centre that will help your child in their development journey. I enrolled Mufaro and he was treated with love and care. He started with no tolerance to sitting and struggled hugely with attention span, speech delay and no social skills. Today Mufaro sits well, understands well and is making progress towards his speech. The ARN social class is also incredible and the teachers will recommend it once your child is ready. The centre has amazing teachers who will connect with your child. Highly recommend if your child needs help on ABA, speech, learning challenges and other delays. They will be in good hands.

We are firm believers in the power of therapy for our daughter, Eva. When we learned that Eva has autism, we began early intervention as soon as she was 18 months old. As parents, we’ve always seen ourselves as her strongest advocates — determined to provide her with every opportunity for growth and a sense of normalcy in education, just like any other child. To us, autism is not a disability, but a special gift that comes with unique strengths and learning styles. Since then, we’ve explored a wide range of therapies including ABA, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Craniosacral Therapy, among others. While therapy is a long-term commitment, our journey has given us valuable experiences with many educators and therapists along the way. We enrolled Eva at ARN in January 2023, and we’ve been with them ever since. Consistency is key — Eva attends sessions twice a week, and even more during school holidays. Over time, we’ve witnessed tremendous progress and success in her development. What truly sets ARN apart is their structured monthly evaluations conducted by the Center Supervisors. Parents are personally updated after each evaluation — either during the session itself or, for working parents like us, through detailed video updates and email reports. This transparent communication has been incredibly helpful in allowing us to track Eva’s progress, understand her behavior during sessions, and reinforce the same strategies at home. We also appreciate that ARN’s teachers are highly trained and closely monitored by the Center to ensure quality and consistency. There’s a clear structure and curriculum in place, which gives us great peace of mind as working parents. Overall, our experience with ARN has been nothing short of remarkable. We are deeply grateful for the care, professionalism, and commitment shown to Eva’s growth and well-being.

It’s been a wonderful journey with ARN for the past few months. We admitted our kid here a few months back and he has already started showing improvements in communicating with us. Now he responds to actions which was never the case earlier. Teachers have been very compassionate and supportive all through. Supervisor’s inputs every month has been invaluable and ensured the curriculum is adjusted accordingly to meet the kid’s learning needs. If you’re looking for early intervention programs or therapy services for your kid, look for no other place than ARN.

Over the past several months, my child has been attending sessions at Autism Recovery Network, and the progress has been truly inspiring. When he was first diagnosed with ASD, we were unsure of what kind of improvements to expect, but the dedicated team at ARN has exceeded all of our hopes. His teacher shows so much patience and warmth, making every session engaging and effective. The supervisor is always available to guide us, helping us understand the strategies being used so we can continue to support him at home. The staff’s consistency and professionalism have made a huge difference. Most importantly, my son’s communication skills have grown tremendously. He is now able to express himself in ways we once thought might never happen. We are so grateful to the ARN team for their dedication, compassion, and expertise.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Autism Recovery Network (ARN) charge per month?

Fees for special needs education in Singapore vary considerably depending on the type of school. MOE-gazetted SPED schools charge Singapore Citizens approximately S$150 per month, with higher tiered rates for Permanent Residents and international students. EIPIC (Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children) centres operate on an income-tested sliding scale broadly in the S$150–800 per month range. Private special needs schools, which are not MOE-gazetted, typically charge S$1,500–4,000 or more per month. ARN's specific monthly fee is not published on this listing. Parents should contact the school directly to obtain an accurate fee schedule for their child's programme. Additional costs to confirm may include therapy top-up sessions, transport shuttle arrangements, diagnostic assessment fees at partner clinics, and school uniform or learning materials. Fees at registered special needs schools are generally GST-exempt. See the full special needs school cost guide for Singapore →

What subsidies and funding can I claim at Autism Recovery Network (ARN)?

The funding available depends on the type of school your child attends. At MOE-gazetted SPED schools, Singapore Citizens benefit from heavily subsidised flat fees; PRs and foreigners pay higher tiered rates set by MOE. For EIPIC and early intervention programmes, ECDA administers an income-tested Additional Subsidy that can substantially reduce out-of-pocket costs. NCSS-administered means-tested financial assistance is typically accessible through the school's in-house social worker. SG Enable offers several schemes relevant to families, including the Assistive Technology Fund for equipment and devices, and vocational support programmes for eligible young adults. Where therapy components are delivered at an approved clinic, MediSave may be used to offset part of those costs. Do note that the Basic Childcare Subsidy and Working Mother Subsidy apply to mainstream childcare and do not extend to SPED or special needs programmes. Funding quantum and eligibility criteria are updated periodically. Parents should consult the MOE Special Education Branch and SG Enable directly for the most current figures, and speak with ARN's social worker about what assistance can be facilitated.

How do I secure a place at Autism Recovery Network (ARN)?

The first requirement is typically a formal diagnostic report from a developmental paediatrician, registered psychologist, or MOE Psychological Service. Without this documentation, most special needs schools cannot proceed with a placement assessment. Parents should gather all relevant reports and assessments before making an enquiry, as they will usually be requested at the outset. Demand for places at established special needs schools in Singapore is high, and waiting lists can extend from several months to over a year depending on the programme and age group. For MOE-gazetted SPED schools, placement is coordinated through the MOE Special Education Branch. For EIPIC centres and private special needs schools such as ARN, applications are made directly to the school. Prospective families should expect an intake assessment or observation visit so the team can confirm the school's programme is the right match for the child's profile and learning needs. Parents are strongly advised to begin the referral and application process as early as possible, and to maintain a second-choice option while awaiting a decision. Contact ARN directly by phone or through the enquiry form to ask about current availability and the intake process.
