Patients typically begin with a first consultation in which the physiotherapist takes a full history, assesses posture, movement, and strength, and identifies the presenting condition or rehabilitation goal — whether that is post-surgical recovery, sports injury, chronic pain, neurological rehabilitation, or postural correction. From there, a treatment plan is agreed, covering the modalities to be used (manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy), the recommended frequency of sessions, and whether a recurring package or pay-per-session arrangement suits the patient's needs better. Cancellation and rescheduling policies are worth confirming at the first booking.
To get started, reach out to Balance Physiotherapy Singapore via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to describe your condition and preferred appointment slot, and ask about current availability at the Birch Road clinic.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Kimberly is meticulous towards her clients and I’ve gained so much confidence after each session. She is understanding, takes her time and pays great attention to detail to understand the pain and resolve issues. Such a clean studio/ clinic too! Highly recommended!
Been experiencing tightness in my legs, especially my right knee which could not be bent entirely. With the condition worsening after a strenous trip, I knew I had to seek help as I completely could not bend my right knee now. Over 4 sessions, Kimberly did deep tissue massage, reformer pilates, dry needling & taught me to use the foam roller, as well as stretches which I did religiously. I can now do a deep squart on both knees without too much strain, and have restarted my running routine. Highly recommend the team at Balance Physiotherapy - I am sure they will be able to work out a plan to help regain mobility!
I had a great experience at Balance Physiotherapy. Jiayen was very professional and attentive, she asked detailed questions and guided me through various exercises to help identify the root of my issue. She was also very kind and supportive, constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable and feeling better by the end of the session. I really appreciated her approach and felt well taken care of. Highly recommend this place!
Kimberly is very knowledgeable and professional. She will think through your problem and explain patiently what she thinks could be the problem and offer solutions. She will adjust the exercises to suit your fitness level and she is very patient and encouraging. She also incorporates Pilates in her exercises which I did at her clinic and I found the Pilates exercises very helpful. I highly recommend Balance Physio and Kimberly!
I’ve had a wonderful experience with Balance Physiotherapy. My physiotherapist, Kim, embodies all the qualities of a truly good therapist — focused, attentive, knowledgeable, caring, and highly skilled. What impressed me most is how she understands and addresses my needs even before I articulate them. Her warm and reassuring manner makes every session comfortable, and her hands-on techniques, including needling to release tight muscles, have been especially effective for me. After each session, I walk away feeling relief from my knee pain and tightness. I’m very grateful for her care and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for professional and effective physiotherapy.

Physiotherapy session fees in Singapore typically range from S$80 to S$180 per session at private clinics, depending on session duration, the modalities used, and whether the appointment is an initial assessment or a follow-up. Balance Physiotherapy Singapore displays a mid-range price indicator, though exact fees have not been published — contact the clinic directly for a current rate card. Some patients are able to claim physiotherapy costs through Medisave (up to S$400–500 per year for chronic condition management under the Chronic Disease Management Programme), integrated shield plans, or employer health benefits. Confirm eligibility with your insurer before your first visit. A package arrangement, if offered, usually provides a modest saving over individual session rates. A GP or specialist referral is not required to book a private physiotherapy appointment in Singapore — you can self-refer directly. However, arriving with any relevant investigation results (MRI, X-ray, surgical discharge summary, or specialist letter) helps the physiotherapist understand your history and avoids duplicating assessments. The first visit is typically an extended assessment session of 45 to 60 minutes, covering subjective history, physical examination, and goal-setting. Patients are usually asked to complete an intake form beforehand. If you have a complex or post-operative condition, or if you intend to claim through a corporate insurer, check whether your plan requires a GP referral letter — some policies do. Contraindications such as acute fractures, undiagnosed tumours, or active infection should be disclosed upfront so the physiotherapist can adjust the assessment accordingly.
Physiotherapists in Singapore must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. Registration can be verified on the AHPC public register at the Ministry of Health's website before booking. No regulatory licences have been listed for Balance Physiotherapy Singapore on this directory at the time of publication — ask the clinic directly for the treating physiotherapist's AHPC registration number and confirm it against the public register. AHPC registration requires a recognised physiotherapy degree and ongoing continuing education. Some physiotherapists also hold post-graduate certifications in areas such as manual therapy (COMT, MAACP), dry needling, or sports physiotherapy — these are voluntary credentials worth asking about if your condition is specialist in nature. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the AHPC public register before treatment.
