Families and adult learners enquiring about Beijing Language School would typically start by asking about syllabus fit — whether the school caters to MOE Chinese language levels (primary, secondary, or JC), HSK preparation, or conversational Mandarin for adults and young children. It is worth clarifying whether classes are conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, what term commitment is expected, and whether any sessions can be attended in person at the Sengkang centre or remotely via online platforms. Asking about a trial class before committing to a full term is a sensible step to gauge teaching style and level appropriateness.
To take the next step, reach out to Beijing Language School via WhatsApp, phone, or their enquiry form to confirm the current schedule, available levels, and whether a trial class can be arranged before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
My daughter has been attending Beijing Language School – Compass One since Nursery 2, and she is now in Primary 3. Throughout these years, we have seen tremendous progress in her Chinese language proficiency, confidence, and interest in learning. She has recently been offered Higher Mother Tongue Language in Primary 3, and I firmly believe this is a strong testament to the school’s well-structured programme and the dedication of its teachers. The lessons are engaging, systematic, and well-paced, ensuring that students build a strong foundation while being appropriately challenged. The teachers are patient, committed, and genuinely care about each child’s learning journey. They provide consistent guidance and encouragement, which has made a significant difference in my daughter’s development. We are truly grateful to the team at Beijing Language School and highly recommend the Compass One branch to parents who are looking for a quality Chinese language education for their children.
I wanted to express my appreciation for the hard work and dedication of Xiaotong 老师. She has shown a genuine interest in my son learning progress. She has a wonderful teaching style that is both engaging and effective. Personally, I have seen a significant improvement in my son's mandarin since studying under her guidance. I am grateful for her dedication and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding teacher!
What a professional language School. Teachers are very professional ,my son learnt a lot of oral and writing skills .When I have a problem, their staff are always ready to help you.The office workers are perfect and responsibility. I will strongly recommend your school to my friends. Lastly , Thank you very much.
Experience during P3 and P4 was not bad, seeing some improvement. However, changed 3 teachers over the past 2 years, now I see no progress for my kid, thus withdrawing from the class. Students in the class reduced from 7 to currently 2. Forcing students to go for makeup classes on other day of the week. As there’s only 1 CW class for that level, students will have their makeup in other classes that’s covering different topic. Instead of refunding money on classes that are being deferred, the center is asking you to come back for subsequent makeup upon withdrawal. In short, unpleasant experience with the center management.
My daughter's teacher is very patient and helpful. I get feedback from her almost every week which helps me understand my girl's study progress better. After few months of learning, her Chinese has improved a lot. So highly recommended!

Beijing Language School displays a mid-range ($$) price tier, though specific per-session or monthly fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the school. In the Singapore market, tuition centre fees for language classes typically range from S$30 to S$80 per session for group classes, with one-to-one sessions running higher. Many centres offer monthly or term-based packages that work out to a lower per-session rate than drop-in pricing. Ask about any registration or enrolment fees, whether learning materials are included or charged separately, and whether sibling or multi-subject discounts apply. A trial class, if available, may carry a separate introductory fee. See the full Tuition Centers cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition centres in Singapore offer a trial class — typically one session at a reduced fee or the standard per-session rate — before a learner commits to a term. This is especially useful for language tuition, where the learner's existing proficiency level needs to be matched to the right class group. During a trial, look out for whether the class pace suits the learner, whether the teaching style (structured drilling vs conversational practice, for example) aligns with the learner's preference, and whether the class size allows for adequate individual attention. Contact Beijing Language School directly via WhatsApp or phone to ask whether a trial class is available, what it costs, and how enrolment proceeds if the learner decides to continue.
Tutor credentials are not listed publicly for Beijing Language School. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask whether instructors hold a relevant degree in Chinese language, linguistics, or education, and whether any have NIE-trained or MOE teaching backgrounds. For adult learners preparing for HSK examinations, ask whether tutors have specific experience delivering HSK-aligned instruction. Also useful to confirm is how long individual tutors have been teaching at the centre, and whether the same tutor is assigned consistently across a term for continuity. If credentials matter to your decision — particularly for exam-stream students — raise this directly with Beijing Language School before committing to a term.
