About Beracah Human Resources Consultancy Services
Beracah Human Resources Consultancy Services is a domestic helper placement agency based at 545 Orchard Road, operating islandwide across Singapore. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channel. It holds a Google rating of 3.0 from 23 reviews — a moderate sample size, though the rating sits below the typical threshold for strong confidence, and families should weigh this alongside other checks before proceeding.
When engaging a maid agency, the first step is to confirm the agency holds a valid MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, verifiable on MOM's online EA directory by name or licence number. From there, families should clarify whether they are seeking a new-hire helper or a transfer helper, as placement fees and timelines differ significantly. A new hire typically incurs a placement fee of S$1,500–3,500, while a transfer helper is usually lower at S$500–1,500. Monthly costs beyond the placement fee include the helper's salary (typically S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the MOM monthly levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary if the household qualifies — for example, if you have a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability). Confirm what is bundled into the agency fee — mandatory FDW insurance, the Settling-In Programme, medical examination, and Work Permit application — versus what is billed separately. Ask about the replacement guarantee window and its conditions before signing.
Contact Beracah Human Resources Consultancy Services by phone to discuss helper profiles, confirm the EA Licence number, and request a written breakdown of all fees before committing to a placement.
Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
I had a great experience with Beracah when looking for a domestic helper. The process was smooth, professional, and efficient. The helper I received was well-screened, well-trained, and a perfect fit for our household. What stood out the most was how the agency took time to understand our needs and recommended someone who matched not just the skills, but also the personality we were hoping for. Their transparency, communication, and support throughout the process gave me peace of mind. Highly recommend Beracah Agency to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy domestic helper agency. Thank you so much Specially to ms virginia for making this important decision so easy and reassuring! God Bless 🥰🥰🥰
Disappointments after disappointments Severe lack of communication, updates and system. Company staff was unable to assist nor even give an explanation of the status or what process we should be anticipating, while the boss is away for a two plus weeks holiday. It is hard to imagine the reliability of an agency, if the company operations seem to be in a standstill when the boss is away. With the staff unable to even guide or share clear instructions on what the consumer should be doing or expecting while the boss is away for 2 weeks. We had to send the helper back due to uncalled-for issues, causing us many inconveniences, only to be met with a series of further inconveniences due to the agency’s serious communication breakdown and gap. Every segment required our constant chasing for an update, just to get measly pieces of information from them that they are getting the new helper’s application processed. After each round of chasing for updates, only to find out that it would be delayed again. Information are given in pieces and incomplete. Leaving us guessing most of the time. The most excruciating issue was the constant multiple days-long chase just to get a simple response from them (in this case would be the boss, as she seem to be the only person who had an answer), that again requires another days-long chase to follow-up with. It has been almost a month since the helper had been sent back, but we still have no proper indication when the new helper will be arriving. We were previously initially informed that the new helper application from Philippines will take about a month to arrive. If you are looking for a reliable agency who is able to provide you with swift services and assistance to ensure you receive the help you need at home promptly, then I am sure this is definitely not the agency to turn to.
I had a fantastic experience with Beracah Human Resources Consultancy Services in hiring my helper. The entire process was smooth and professional, and everything went according to the timeline they provided. My helper arrived right on schedule, which gave me peace of mind. The team was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout, always ready to answer questions and provide updates. The service cost is absolutely worth it for the quality and efficiency they deliver. Special shoutout to Virginia and her team for a job well done! Highly recommended.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Choose this agency only if you want to keep chasing for updates. We had a very horrid experience with this agency. The helpers are not well trained. When we had to do a change, we were not upfront sent any cost breakdown. It was verbal and a lot of hidden costs. Importantly, they also did not have the job order to fulfill the exchange. We waited for very very long (about a month) and had to keep chasing for updates which were sometimes ignored. We are going to report the experience with MOM. Our initial experience was with Jasmine and subsequently Virginia. We had to keep chasing for updates and fees were not transparent
*DEAL WITH THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK* The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a service provider. This company seems to look for opportunities to take advantage of clients at every step. Some of the “highlights” of their service include: - Failing to provide updates unless repeatedly chased. - Demonstrating little to no understanding of the MOM process, resulting in confusing and unnecessary back-and-forth. - Adding unexplained charges to the bill without clarity or justification. Their entire approach appears to involve exploiting vulnerable helpers in the Philippines while simultaneously taking advantage of the desperation of prospective employers in Singapore. If you are considering engaging this agency, here are better alternatives: - Find literally any other agency. - Hire directly from the Philippines. - Look for a transfer helper through Facebook groups. - Reconsider whether you truly need a helper. - Just do all of your work yourself instead of getting a helper Any of the above options will be far less stressful and frustrating than dealing with this agency. Please deal with them at your own risk!

Placement fees at maid agencies typically run S$1,500–3,500 for a new-hire helper and S$500–1,500 for a transfer helper. Beyond the one-time placement fee, the household pays the helper's monthly salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the MOM monthly levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary for qualifying households with a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability). Confirm in writing what is bundled into the agency fee — mandatory FDW insurance (typically S$300–600 per year), the Settling-In Programme, medical examination, and Work Permit application — versus what is charged on top. Ask for an itemised quotation before paying any deposit. See the full maid agency cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate maid agency must hold an MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is verifiable on MOM's online EA directory by searching the agency's name or licence number. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, contracts, and invoices. EA Grading runs from A+ to C — A+ and A grades signal stronger compliance history and complaint handling. No EA licence is listed in Beracah Human Resources Consultancy Services' verified data on KakiList. You should confirm the licence number directly with the agency and cross-check it on the MOM EA directory before paying any deposit or signing a contract. Hiring through an unlicensed agent is illegal, leaves you with no recourse if issues arise, and can void insurance coverage. Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
The standard replacement window at Singapore maid agencies is typically six months from the helper's arrival date. Confirm how many replacements are included within that period, what circumstances void the guarantee (for example, documented mismatch versus buyer's remorse), and the cost of any additional replacements beyond what is covered. Also clarify the early-termination process — including repatriation flight costs, refund of unused levy, and Work Permit cancellation paperwork — as these costs are generally borne by the household if the placement breaks down outside the guarantee window. Get the full replacement and refund terms in writing before signing the placement agreement.
