New patients typically begin with a first consultation in which the physiotherapist takes a detailed history of the presenting condition — whether musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injury, neurological deficit, or a chronic issue — and conducts a physical assessment before agreeing on a treatment plan. Subsequent sessions may combine manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy modalities, or dry needling depending on the clinical picture. Patients should clarify upfront whether they prefer a recurring package or individual sessions, and confirm the cancellation and no-show policy before booking.

I’ve been seeing physiotherapist Alison for my post-surgery recovery, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the care and support I’ve received over the past 8 months. From barely able to move or turn my forearm to almost 100% mobility now, it’s been such a journey — and she has been there every step of the way, guiding me with patience and encouragement. Their admin team also deserves a huge shoutout for always being so efficient and friendly — from helping me book my sessions to sending timely reminders, they make the whole process so smooth. Really appreciate the professionalism and genuine care from the whole team. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dedicated and supportive physio clinic! 💪✨
I came to Yi Liang with a torn labrum and the goal of getting fully back to the gym and BJJ. What I really appreciated was how structured and progressive the rehab process was. He didn’t just focus on relieving the pain (which he successfully did), but also made sure I strengthened the right stabilising muscles to prevent future issues. As a fellow BJJ practitioner, he understood exactly what the sport demands on the body. That made a huge difference because he knew the right advice to give me, and how I can slowly get back to 100% at a sport I love. Highly recommend Yi Liang if you’re looking for someone knowledgeable, attentive, and serious about getting you back to performing at your best.
TL;DR; This is a great physiotherapy place. Highly recommended. Especially Dr. Li Yiang. Long Answer: I sprained my ankle during a hike. went to GP, did an xray and met a specialist. It turned out the "sprain" was actually an ankle avulsion fracture. I was able to walk but the specialist suggested to do physiotherapy. So, at BMJ Physiotherapy, I had 2 sessions with Dr. Li Yiang. He was the first person to show me from first principles the biomechanics of an ankle and "why" I need to do certain exercises for faster recovery. After 2 sessions, I had to travel again and couldn't continue. Dr Li Yiang kept in touch to enquire about my ankle. overall great experience!
Exceptional care and results. BMJ Physiotherapy at Marine Parade, took wonderful care of my mother, and her recovery was both fast and remarkable. A special thank you to Senior physiotherapist Chew Sook Fun for the professionalism, patience, and genuine care shown throughout her sessions. We felt very supported, and the quality of treatment truly made a difference. Highly recommended.
I’ve been seeing Physio Dylan from June to October for a suspected ATFL tear, and he has been nothing short of professional and knowledgeable. He explains every exercise clearly and how each one supports my recovery and strengthening. It was also my first time trying dry needling, and it unexpectedly helped relieve the pain and tension. I wouls also like to thank Pauline, who has been incredibly patient in following up on my appointment dates and times, even when I occasionally forgot to reply. Overall, a great experience with BMJ and I highly recommend Dylan for his expertise and great service.

Physiotherapy consultation fees in Singapore typically range from S$80 to S$180 per session for a private clinic, depending on session length, modalities used, and whether the appointment is an initial assessment or a follow-up. Package rates are often available for patients committing to a course of treatment and generally work out cheaper per session than paying individually. Confirm the exact first-consultation fee and any package options directly with BMJ Physiotherapy (Paya Lebar) before booking, as fees are not published in the available listing data. Also check whether your Medisave, MediShield Life, or integrated shield plan covers physiotherapy at this clinic, as coverage rules vary by insurer and condition. Most private physiotherapy clinics in Singapore, including those in the Parkway Centre cluster, accept self-referred patients without a GP or specialist letter — you can book directly. That said, a referral letter is worth obtaining if you intend to make an insurance claim, as many integrated shield plans and corporate health policies require one to process a physiotherapy benefit. At your first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering medical history, current medications, and any previous imaging or surgical reports. Bring these documents if you have them, as they help the physiotherapist assess contraindications — for example, conditions such as osteoporosis, recent fractures, or active infection that may limit certain manual techniques. The first session is typically longer than follow-ups to allow for the full assessment.
Physiotherapists in Singapore must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. Registration is mandatory to practise legally and can be verified by searching the AHPC public register at ahpc.edu.sg using the practitioner's name. Clinics operating in regulated premises such as Parkway Centre are generally expected to employ AHPC-registered practitioners, but you should verify the specific physiotherapist's registration before your first appointment. If the clinic employs multiple physiotherapists, confirm which one will be treating you and check their individual registration status. Voluntary memberships such as the Singapore Physiotherapy Association (SPA) signal ongoing professional development but are separate from the mandatory AHPC licence. Confirm the practitioner's registration on the AHPC public register before treatment.
