About BMJ Physiotherapy (Sports Hub Kallang)

About BMJ Physiotherapy (Sports Hub Kallang)

BMJ Physiotherapy operates from Parkway Centre at 1 Marine Parade Central, offering physiotherapy services to clients across Singapore. The practice holds a 5/5 rating across 293 Google reviews — a robust sample that provides a strong indication of consistent patient experience. KakiList has confirmed the operating details and contact channel. No ACRA registration has been cross-checked at this time.

New patients typically begin with an initial consultation, during which the physiotherapist takes a full history, assesses movement patterns, and identifies the presenting condition — whether that is a sports injury, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain, or a musculoskeletal complaint. From there, a structured treatment plan is agreed, which may combine manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modality-based interventions. Patients should bring any relevant imaging reports, referral letters, or medical records to the first session. For recurring treatment, block packages are often available alongside single-session bookings, and patients should clarify the cancellation and rebooking policy at the outset.

To make an appointment, reach BMJ Physiotherapy via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form — confirm session availability, bring documentation of any prior diagnosis or imaging, and discuss your treatment goals at the first visit.

I’ve been seeing physiotherapist Alison for my post-surgery recovery, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the care and support I’ve received over the past 8 months. From barely able to move or turn my forearm to almost 100% mobility now, it’s been such a journey — and she has been there every step of the way, guiding me with patience and encouragement. Their admin team also deserves a huge shoutout for always being so efficient and friendly — from helping me book my sessions to sending timely reminders, they make the whole process so smooth. Really appreciate the professionalism and genuine care from the whole team. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dedicated and supportive physio clinic! 💪✨

I came to Yi Liang with a torn labrum and the goal of getting fully back to the gym and BJJ. What I really appreciated was how structured and progressive the rehab process was. He didn’t just focus on relieving the pain (which he successfully did), but also made sure I strengthened the right stabilising muscles to prevent future issues. As a fellow BJJ practitioner, he understood exactly what the sport demands on the body. That made a huge difference because he knew the right advice to give me, and how I can slowly get back to 100% at a sport I love. Highly recommend Yi Liang if you’re looking for someone knowledgeable, attentive, and serious about getting you back to performing at your best.

TL;DR; This is a great physiotherapy place. Highly recommended. Especially Dr. Li Yiang. Long Answer: I sprained my ankle during a hike. went to GP, did an xray and met a specialist. It turned out the "sprain" was actually an ankle avulsion fracture. I was able to walk but the specialist suggested to do physiotherapy. So, at BMJ Physiotherapy, I had 2 sessions with Dr. Li Yiang. He was the first person to show me from first principles the biomechanics of an ankle and "why" I need to do certain exercises for faster recovery. After 2 sessions, I had to travel again and couldn't continue. Dr Li Yiang kept in touch to enquire about my ankle. overall great experience!

Exceptional care and results. BMJ Physiotherapy at Marine Parade, took wonderful care of my mother, and her recovery was both fast and remarkable. A special thank you to Senior physiotherapist Chew Sook Fun for the professionalism, patience, and genuine care shown throughout her sessions. We felt very supported, and the quality of treatment truly made a difference. Highly recommended.

I’ve been seeing Physio Dylan from June to October for a suspected ATFL tear, and he has been nothing short of professional and knowledgeable. He explains every exercise clearly and how each one supports my recovery and strengthening. It was also my first time trying dry needling, and it unexpectedly helped relieve the pain and tension. I wouls also like to thank Pauline, who has been incredibly patient in following up on my appointment dates and times, even when I occasionally forgot to reply. Overall, a great experience with BMJ and I highly recommend Dylan for his expertise and great service.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does BMJ Physiotherapy (Sports Hub Kallang) charge per session?

BMJ Physiotherapy is priced in the moderate range (indicated by $$). Specific per-session rates have not been published, so it is advisable to confirm the current consultation fee directly before booking. As a general reference, physiotherapy consultations in Singapore typically run S$80–180 per session at private clinics, with follow-up sessions sometimes priced lower than the initial assessment. Block packages — for example, five or ten sessions — usually carry a modest discount over the single-session rate. Confirm whether materials such as strapping tape or hot/cold packs are billed separately, and check the cancellation and no-show policy before committing to a package. Do I need a referral or assessment first?

You do not need a GP referral to book a physiotherapy session at a private clinic in Singapore, though having one can be useful if you intend to claim through an integrated shield plan or employer medical benefits — insurers often require a referral letter to process reimbursement for physiotherapy. Patients with a complex or chronic condition (for example, post-stroke rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, or a neurological diagnosis) may find that bringing a specialist's referral letter and recent imaging helps the physiotherapist design a more targeted programme from the first session. At the initial visit, expect an intake assessment covering your medical history, current medications, and specific complaints, as well as a physical examination of movement, strength, and pain response. Flag any contraindications — such as recent fractures, pacemakers, or skin conditions — at booking so the therapist can plan appropriately.

Is the practitioner at BMJ Physiotherapy (Sports Hub Kallang) licensed?

In Singapore, physiotherapists are regulated by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. Every practising physiotherapist must hold a valid AHPC registration, which is searchable by name on the AHPC public register at ahpc.edu.sg. Registration must be renewed annually and requires proof of continuing professional development. Practising without AHPC registration is unlawful. No licences have been listed in BMJ Physiotherapy's current KakiList profile. Before your first session, ask the treating physiotherapist for their full name and AHPC registration number, then verify it on the public register. This takes under a minute and confirms the practitioner's legal standing to treat patients in Singapore.
