A good place for volunteering your services to help people in need!!! This is also one of the place for finding out more about fostering services in Singapore.
Wonderful organization and great work among the children and youth. Keeping them safe and impacting their lives. The children and youth need a place and a team who truly believe in them and wanting to work through the challenges in their lives. Truly embracing those whom the 'world' and in some cases 'the family' rejects.
Great place to visit to. I love the scenary view here
Excellent organisation, providing structure to youth that need it. AND, a rock climbing wall that's open to public!

Boys' Town Counselling indicates a mid-range pricing tier, but specific per-session fees are not publicly listed. Counselling services in Singapore typically range from S$80–200 per session at private or voluntary welfare organisation (VWO) centres, with some VWOs offering sliding-scale or subsidised rates depending on the client's circumstances and referral source. It is worth asking whether a package rate is available for recurring sessions and whether there is a separate initial consultation fee. Confirm also whether any subsidies or financial assistance schemes apply — some VWO counselling providers accept CHAS or MOH-linked referrals. See the full counselling cost guide for Singapore →
Most counselling centres, including those affiliated with voluntary welfare organisations, accept self-referrals — you do not usually need a GP letter to book a first appointment. The initial session typically involves completing an intake form covering your presenting concern, relevant background, and goals for counselling. For complex or clinical presentations — such as diagnosed mental health conditions, medication management, or situations involving risk — a GP referral can be useful as it may support insurance claims and ensures the counsellor has relevant medical context before the first session. If you are unsure whether counselling or a more clinical service (such as a psychiatrist) is the right fit, the centre can usually advise during an initial call.
Counselling in Singapore is not yet a statutorily regulated profession, meaning there is no single government licensing board equivalent to AHPC for physiotherapists or TCMPB for TCM practitioners. The main voluntary credentialling body is the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC), whose registered counsellors hold recognised qualifications and adhere to a code of ethics — SAC membership is a key trust signal to ask about. When booking, ask for the name and qualifications of the counsellor who will be assigned to you, confirm their SAC registration status where applicable, and enquire about their experience with your specific presenting concern. Boys' Town Counselling does not currently list regulatory licences in publicly available information, so confirming credentials directly with the centre before your first session is advisable.
