If you are considering counselling, the usual first step is an initial consultation to discuss your presenting concerns, whether personal, relational, or work-related, and to determine the right type of support. You can reach Care Corner Counselling Centre by phone or through their enquiry form. It is worth asking about the format of sessions (individual, couples, or family), frequency and recommended duration, and whether the assigned counsellor has experience relevant to your specific situation. Do clarify the cancellation policy before scheduling, as most counselling practices require 24 to 48 hours' notice to avoid a late-cancellation charge.
To take the next step, call or submit an enquiry via their contact form to request an initial consultation appointment and ask about current availability.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
I think you should seriously consider making your free hotline chargeable, say a flat rate of $1 per call, to deter callers who don't NEED help or don't WANT help to stop calling throughout the day.
Dear all Care Corner staff, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for enrolling my mother in the Care Corner Day Care programme. Your team has been incredibly friendly and welcoming, making this transition much easier for us. Knowing that my mother will be in good hands brings me great peace of mind. Thank you once again for your kindness and support.
Care Corner Counseling service is probably one of the most affordable, and yet professional services around. They have trained therapists with master degrees, and decades of experience. For example, their marriage therapist uses the Emotionally Focused Therapy method, which is different from the Gottman method and can sometimes be more effective. Their service is also fully confidential, with access being up a staircase, ensuring that you have the confidentiality of a private provider, and yet being charged the price of something more affordable. This is a must-use!
there is free counselling hotline.. i will said some counsellors are nice, whereas some are negative and toxic, and will say unkind things to add on to your sorrows. nevertheless, this is a free counselling hotline, so they are volunteers and may not be very well trained...
The counselor is very attentive and perceptive, with very good memory of previous discussions. Lots of techniques were shared on how to improve on issues and they really work for me.

Care Corner Counselling Centre indicates mid-range pricing, but specific per-session fees are not publicly listed. In Singapore, counselling sessions typically run S$80–200 per hour for private providers, with some social-service-affiliated centres offering subsidised rates based on income. It is worth asking whether a package of sessions is available at a discounted rate versus paying per session, and whether the first consultation is priced differently as an intake assessment. Confirm the cancellation and no-show policy before booking, as most counselling practices charge a partial or full session fee for late cancellations. Most counselling services, including those in Singapore's social-service sector, accept self-referrals — you do not need a GP letter to book a first appointment. However, if you are seeking to claim from an insurer or a Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) subsidy, a GP referral may strengthen your case, and it is worth checking with your insurer before the first session. At an initial session, you can expect to complete an intake form covering your background, presenting concerns, and any relevant medical or psychiatric history. Some counsellors will flag contraindications — for instance, active suicidality or a primary psychiatric diagnosis may require a psychiatrist's involvement alongside or prior to counselling. Being open about your situation at intake helps the counsellor confirm they are the right fit.
In Singapore, the title 'counsellor' is not yet statutorily regulated in the same way as physiotherapists or TCM practitioners, meaning there is no single mandatory public register. However, reputable counsellors typically hold membership with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and may also be accredited by the Singapore Register of Counsellors (SRC). Psychologists should hold registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) and, where clinical, with the Register of Psychologists. Care Corner Counselling Centre has not listed its regulatory licences in publicly available data, so it is advisable to ask directly about the qualifications and professional memberships of the counsellor you will be assigned to before your first session. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
If Care Corner Counselling Centre isn't the right fit, these are other counselling providers on KakiList worth shortlisting. All are independently listed — no affiliate fees, no "featured" sponsorships.
