To get started, reach out by phone or through the online enquiry form to arrange an initial consultation. At that first session, the counsellor will typically conduct an intake conversation to understand your presenting concerns, relevant background, and what you are hoping to achieve. From there, you can discuss whether ongoing individual sessions, a structured programme, or another format best fits your situation. It is worth asking about session frequency, the therapeutic approach used, cancellation and rescheduling terms, and whether the service extends to family members or caregivers in addition to the primary client.
Contact Caregivers Alliance Limited via phone or their enquiry form to arrange an initial consultation and confirm availability.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to attend the zoom sessions for caregivers of ppl with dementia with my mum. My mum attended as the main carer for my father who has alz while I additionally looked out for my mum that has pks. The things taught within the sessions are also highly accurate and aligns with my research studies in music therapy. Even the powerpoint sites include citations! Communication with my mom has been challenging, as she prefers things to remain unchanged despite their increasing needs. The course encourages long-term planning and the establishment of support networks, which I believe will greatly ease caregiving responsibilities. I'm incredibly proud of the work they're doing and deeply appreciate their efforts. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Celeste and Marie from CAL and NCSS for the full subsidy.
This is a wonderful support group for anyone who is a caregiver to someone with dementia. The facilitators are simply exceptional. They are warm, non-judgmental and genuinely caring. I have learnt so much from them as well as from each and every group member who has shared their personal experiences and stories generously.
Attended the caregivers to caregivers education programme. the facilitators and programme had excellent preparation. Furthermore, sincere and honest sharings with other caregivers made this programme effective in helping to equip to care for my Aunt
Lots of caregivers sharing practical knowledge on how to care for your love ones, going thru mental illness and dementia. Lots of caring staff and volunteers

Caregivers Alliance Limited has not published a per-session rate, so you will need to enquire directly for current pricing. As a general reference, counselling sessions in Singapore typically range from S$80 to S$200 per hour at private practices, with some organisations offering sliding-scale or subsidised rates depending on the client's circumstances. When you make contact, ask whether there is a separate first-consultation fee, whether packages or block bookings are available at a reduced rate, and what the cancellation or no-show policy is. Confirm whether GST is included in the quoted rate. See the full counselling cost guide for Singapore →
Most counselling practices in Singapore do not require a formal referral — you can contact Caregivers Alliance Limited directly by phone or through their enquiry form to schedule an initial appointment. That said, if you intend to make an insurance claim, a referral letter from a GP or specialist can be helpful and may be required by your insurer. At the first session, you will typically complete an intake form covering your presenting concerns, relevant medical or psychiatric history, and any contraindications the counsellor should know about. If your situation involves complex mental health conditions, the counsellor may recommend a concurrent assessment by a psychiatrist or psychologist alongside the counselling work.
In Singapore, the counselling profession is not yet a statutorily regulated profession under the Allied Health Professions Act in the same way physiotherapy or occupational therapy is. Reputable counsellors typically hold accreditation from the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS), and clinical psychologists are listed on the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP). Before your first appointment, ask Caregivers Alliance Limited to confirm the qualifications and professional membership of the counsellor you will be seeing. You can verify SAC-accredited members on the SAC member directory. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
