About Central Manpowers

About Central Manpowers

Central Manpowers is a maid agency operating islandwide from its office at 100 Jalan Sultan, #03-48, Singapore 199001. The listing has been verified by KakiList, though no ACRA registration, MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, or other regulatory credentials are on record. With 9 Google reviews at a rating of 1/5, the available review data is both very limited in sample size and notably low — prospective clients should treat this signal with caution.

When engaging a maid agency in Singapore, the standard process involves confirming the agency's MOM EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, reviewing the EA Grading (A+ to C), understanding the placement fee for a new hire versus a transfer helper, and clarifying what is bundled — such as FDW insurance, the Settling-In Programme, medical examination, and Work Permit application — versus billed separately. You will also want to confirm the helper's monthly salary (typically S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience), the applicable MOM levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary if the household includes a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability), the source-country options available, and the replacement guarantee window.

Contact Central Manpowers directly to confirm whether a valid MOM EA Licence is held before proceeding with any payment or engagement. Listing data is incomplete — contact Central Manpowers directly to confirm details.

I will never ever recommend Central Manpower maid agency at Japan Besar to anyone. Very unhelpful and never answer phone calls. They are so unreliable and refuse to take responsibility. Regret still depending on them to get a maid for my father as it’s very difficult to get refund from them. Please ppl who are trying to get a maid to look after elderly parents never ever go to central manpower maid agency. Only suffer from mental stress. Must bring the issue to MOM’s or CASE attention.

No words to describe. Simply waste. This agency shouldn’t exist in Singapore. I am in touch with MOM regarding this. This is family business and the couples both are bunch of liars. The boss is useless and he will not answer your calls, so I have to catch him every time using different numbers, for msg he will read but not respond. They cheated our money and promised to return couple of weeks ago then I followed up yesterday and again he promised to pay the same day. But he is a liar and have not settled yet. I terminated the contract and sent 2 maids I ve took from him, but the insurance refund was not processed and I have to call the insurance company and find out. So mad and angry about the agency.

I cant even give them any star because their services and working attitude S__s. This is the worst Maid Agency I have ever encounter with. They are unreliable and don't keep up to what is agreed upon and can take their own time to refund back the Deposit. Total regret depending on them for maid. Disgrace for Indian Maid Agency.

Worst Agency!!!! My current maid, task taking care of 3 kids (twin gals 2years) (son 3yrs old) never wash hands after throwing rubbis, body odour very strong. Refuse to shower 2 times a day. Refuse To Wash hair 3 times a week. Kids always get sick because of her hygeiness. Afternoon request for 1 hour rest after lunch. Told to wake up 6am but refuse and wakes up at 7.30am. No proper course given to all MAIDS FROM CENTRAL MANPOWERS. Took hostel fee from us for maids but all MAIDS staying in agency OWNERS HOUSE. If proper course given maid shld know what they shld do. SALARY knows to ask on time. MOM SHOULD CLOSE DOWN THIS AGENCY. ALL MAIDS COMING FROM THIS AGENCY NO PROPER COURSE, NO PROPER HYGEINCE WORK FOR MORE THEN 6 MONTHS still dumb and keep on asking to do this or not. ME AS A EMPLOYER DOING ALL THE HOUSE WORK, COOKING, WASHING CLOTHES, MOPPING THE HOUSE. Im sure im not the only employer facing this problem.!!

Maids are not trained and those qualifications stated in profile are all for attracting only... Nightmares ever since I engaged them. No U-turn back....

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Central Manpowers charge?

Placement fees at maid agencies in Singapore typically run S$1,500–3,500 for a new-hire helper and S$500–1,500 for a transfer helper. On top of the agency fee, you will pay the helper's monthly salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the monthly MOM levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary for eligible households with a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability). Confirm exactly what is bundled into the placement fee — mandatory FDW insurance (approximately S$300–600 per year), the Settling-In Programme, medical examination, and Work Permit application are sometimes included and sometimes charged separately. Central Manpowers has not publicly listed a specific fee schedule, so request a full written breakdown before committing. See the full maid agency cost guide for Singapore →

Is Central Manpowers MOM-licensed?

Every legitimate maid agency in Singapore must hold an MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is publicly verifiable by name or licence number on MOM's online EA directory. No EA Licence is on record for Central Manpowers in the current listing data, and no ACRA registration has been confirmed either. Before paying any deposit, search for "Central Manpowers" directly on MOM's EA directory at mom.gov.sg to check current licence status. The licence number should appear on the agency's contracts and invoices. Engaging an unlicensed agent is illegal, leaves you with no recourse if problems arise, and can void your FDW insurance. Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.

What replacement guarantee does Central Manpowers offer?

The standard replacement window at licensed maid agencies in Singapore is typically six months from the helper's arrival date, with one or two replacements included. You should confirm how many replacements are covered, what circumstances void the guarantee (for example, documented mismatch versus change of mind), and what additional replacements cost beyond the included allowance. Also clarify the early-termination process if the placement breaks down outside the guarantee window — repatriation flight costs, refund of unused MOM levy, and Work Permit cancellation paperwork are typically the household's responsibility in those situations. As no specific guarantee terms have been published by Central Manpowers, request these details in writing before signing any contract.
