About CHARMS Singapore

About CHARMS Singapore

CHARMS Singapore is a physiotherapy practice located at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre (unit #06-05), offering services islandwide. KakiList has verified operating details and contact channels. The practice holds a 4.9/5 rating across 72 Google reviews, a moderate sample that carries reasonable weight.

Patients typically begin with an initial consultation during which the physiotherapist takes a full history, assesses movement, strength, and pain patterns, and discusses goals — whether that is post-surgical rehabilitation, management of a chronic musculoskeletal condition, sports injury recovery, or neurological physiotherapy. From there, a treatment plan is agreed covering session frequency, techniques to be used (manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, or a combination), and an estimated course length. Sessions may be one-to-one, and patients are generally encouraged to ask whether a recurring package or single-session booking better suits their schedule and budget. A clear cancellation policy should be confirmed at the outset.

To take the next step, contact CHARMS Singapore by phone or via the enquiry form on their listing to describe your condition and preferred appointment times, and ask about first-consultation availability at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre clinic.

I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Aaron Gan and his team for the exceptional care I received. I came in with torn ligaments in my wrist and a nerve injury, which felt quite daunting. Dr. Gan is a true professional with excellent bedside manner—he was very patient and did not push for surgery, making sure we explored all other options first. When we did proceed with the procedure, his surgical skill was amazing. Even though I had three incisions, they are healing beautifully with minimal scarring. The clinic staff is wonderful, especially my therapist, YY, who is exceptionally knowledgeable and has excellent skills. Her expertise was vital to my rehabilitation. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone dealing with complex hand or wrist injuries!

I recently suffered a torn UCL in my right thumb after a fall and consulted Dr. Aaron Gan at the Centre for Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery. Dr. Gan was very professional, patient, and thorough in explaining my condition and the treatment options. I underwent thumb surgery in July 2025, which went smoothly and was a success. Following the procedure, I attended a 3-month rehabilitation program with the in-house physiotherapist Ms. YY, who was equally attentive and encouraging throughout my recovery. Her tailored exercises and guidance made a huge difference in helping me regain strength and mobility quickly. I’m very thankful for the excellent care provided by Dr. Gan and the entire team. From consultation to surgery and rehab, everything was well-coordinated and reassuring. I highly recommend Dr. Gan and the Centre for Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery to anyone in need of expert hand or microsurgery care.

During a trip to Singapore I was recovering from a significant wound to my hand. There were complications that led to a trip to the Mount Elizabeth ER, and two days later I was in Dr. Gan's office. This problem took several visits to address, including a procedure he completed on the spot in his office, sensitive to the constraints of my travel schedule. Dr. Gan is extremely skilled and pragmatic, particularly in a case like mine where I had the added complexity of a travel schedule. I recommend him without hesitation to any patient requiring a skilled and caring hand surgeon.

Dr Aaron Gan treated me for my dequervain n carpal tunnel, both on the same hand. Both my surgery wounds healed well and I regained all my hand functions without problems. The intense pain on my wrist and the numbness on my fingers are gone. I attributed my good recovery to Dr Aaron Gan's excellent surgery skill. He is very friendly and reassuring too and that helped me alot when I was in pain and upset over my condition. Millions of thanks, Dr Gan!

Dr Aaron Gan is good no doubt about that. Counter staff can be more friendly since we meet them first at the clinic. Will be good if they can send reminders about OT appointments. Hard to keep track.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does CHARMS Singapore charge per session?

CHARMS Singapore's pricing is not publicly listed; the practice uses a '$$' indicator suggesting mid-range fees. In Singapore, a physiotherapy consultation at a private medical-centre clinic typically runs S$80–160 per session, with follow-up sessions S$60–120. Package rates for a fixed number of sessions are common and generally offer a modest saving over single-session pricing. Confirm the first-consultation fee, the follow-up session rate, and whether any package is refundable if treatment concludes early. Note that GST applies to physiotherapy services in Singapore. If you plan to claim under Medisave, an Integrated Shield Plan, or corporate insurance, check your insurer's requirements — some plans require a GP referral letter or a specific diagnosis code for reimbursement. Do I need a referral or assessment first at CHARMS Singapore?

You do not typically need a GP referral to book a private physiotherapy session at CHARMS Singapore — you can self-refer directly. However, a referral from a GP or specialist is worth obtaining if you intend to claim under a corporate health plan or an Integrated Shield Plan, as many insurers require it for reimbursement. At the first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and any imaging or investigation results (MRI, X-ray). Bring any relevant reports with you. Contraindications such as active infection, undiagnosed fracture, or certain cardiovascular conditions will be screened. If your condition is complex or post-operative, the physiotherapist may coordinate with your surgeon or specialist — a referral letter in that case smooths communication considerably.

Is the physiotherapist at CHARMS Singapore licensed?

Physiotherapists practising in Singapore must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. AHPC registration is verifiable on the AHPC public register at https://www.healthprofessionals.gov.sg — search by name to confirm the practitioner's active registration status and any conditions on practice. Note that CHARMS Singapore does not currently list regulatory licences in its KakiList profile, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed. Before your first appointment, ask for the consulting physiotherapist's full name and AHPC registration number, and verify these on the AHPC register. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
