Patients typically begin with an initial consultation, during which the TCM practitioner will take a detailed case history covering current complaints, lifestyle factors, and constitution before proceeding to pulse-taking and tongue diagnosis. Treatment modalities at TCM clinics commonly include acupuncture, tui na (therapeutic massage), cupping, moxibustion, and the dispensing of herbal formulas in raw, granule, or patent form. It is worth confirming which practitioners are on the team, their registration status with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB), and whether recurring packages or single-session bookings are available, as well as the cancellation policy before your first appointment.
To get started, contact Chinese Medical Centre (CMC Jurong) by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to confirm appointment availability, the presenting conditions they routinely manage, and current session fees.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Been going to CMC for the past two years for various ailments. One of the best TCM. Physician Zhang is personable and her kind advice is practical and encouraging. Chenchen receptionist is attentive, knows the clients by name. had tuna massages with a few therapists all of them experienced and skillful. Latest that massaged me is Rongrong, helped heaps to ease my aching knees and ankle. Excellent job!
I chanced upon this TCM after my trip to China and twisted my wrist and needed a Chinese doctor. I visited this clinic and was treated by 张双凤医师, she’s very skilful and knew exactly my pain point and treated me with the acupuncture. She’s so good that I brought my mom to see her too.
I’ve visited this TCM massage place a couple of times and have consistently had a good experience. The receptionist, Chen Chen, is very friendly and helpful, which makes the visit welcoming from the start. The masseuses, Summer and Xiaoxia, are both excellent — they were able to identify my muscle knots and effectively release the tension I was carrying. Overall, it’s a really good experience and I always leave feeling much better. The only area for improvement would be the presentation of the rooms, which could be a bit more polished.
This is the second time I paid for the Paediatrics Tuina (小儿推拿) for my kids at CMC Tiongbahru. And they love and enjoy it so much. Thank you Chengcheng for your patiently and carefully explaining always. Especially thank you so much for my kid's massager Yajie. She shows her professional massage skills and care to my kids. And my kids always look forward to have their massage.
Our go to place for TCM consultation and tuina. Doctor Zhang is very caring and patient. On one occasion, she prescribed medicine that immediately cured my chronic cough which was ongoing for several months. Ya Jie and Summer provided excellent tuina which alleviated my muscles knots. And the receptionist, Cheng Cheng, was friendly and recommended good packages to us.

TCM consultation fees in Singapore typically range from S$20–50 for the initial consultation, with acupuncture sessions running S$40–80 and herbal prescriptions billed separately at S$20–60 per week depending on the formula. Chinese Medical Centre (CMC Jurong) displays a mid-range price indicator, but exact fees are not published in the current listing — contact them directly to confirm the consultation fee, acupuncture charges, and herbal dispensing costs before your visit. Confirm whether a no-show or late-cancellation fee applies, as many practices charge for missed appointments. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No GP referral is required to book a TCM consultation in Singapore — you can contact Chinese Medical Centre (CMC Jurong) directly. At your first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and presenting complaints. The practitioner will then conduct a TCM diagnostic assessment (pulse, tongue, and case history) before recommending a treatment plan. If you have a complex or chronic condition — such as cancer, pregnancy complications, or a recent surgical procedure — it is advisable to inform the clinic in advance, as certain TCM modalities (acupuncture, cupping, some herbal formulas) carry contraindications. A GP referral letter, while not mandatory, can be useful if you intend to claim from a corporate insurance plan or Medisave, as Medisave covers acupuncture for specific conditions at approved clinics.
In Singapore, all practising TCM physicians must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory under the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Act — it is illegal to practise TCM without it. You can verify any practitioner's registration by name on the TCMPB's public register at tcmpb.gov.sg before your appointment. No regulatory licences are listed for Chinese Medical Centre (CMC Jurong) in the current listing data. Before booking, ask the clinic directly for the registered names of their practising physicians and cross-check each one on the TCMPB register. Also confirm whether the clinic premises hold a relevant SFA or MOH registration if dispensing herbal medicines. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
