A typical visit begins with an initial consultation during which the practitioner takes a detailed case history, performs tongue and pulse diagnosis, and identifies the underlying pattern of disharmony. From there, a treatment plan is recommended — which may include acupuncture, tui na, cupping, moxibustion, or a course of herbal medicine depending on your condition and goals. Whether you are managing a chronic condition, recovering from injury, addressing pain, or seeking general wellness support, it is worth confirming at first contact which modalities the clinic offers, the frequency of sessions recommended for your situation, and whether a package or pay-as-you-go arrangement suits you better. Do note the clinic's cancellation policy before booking.

This review is long overdue! Life with a little one has kept me busy, but I wanted to finally share my gratitude for Dr. Kong and his wonderful team. I first sought help from Dr. Kong to manage my hyperthyroid condition during pregnancy, which carried a higher risk of miscarriage. I am so thankful for his meticulous care and expertise during such a critical time. While he is a man of few words—and I did occasionally wonder if I should stick with it—I am so glad I trusted the process. I also want to give a special thanks to the reception team for their warm and friendly welcome at every visit. Thanks to everyone here, I now have a healthy, active little boy!
I had a very good experience at this clinic. Dr Kong is extremely patient and listens attentively to all my concerns. During each consultation, he carefully adjusted my medication based on the side effects I shared, which made me feel well cared for. Seeing the positive result during my TTC, I continued his treatment throughout my first trimester of pregnancy for added support and reassurance. He also puts in great effort to ensure the clinic is clean and well disinfected, which gave me a lot of confidence. The two clinic staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful as well. Highly recommended.
I’ve had a great experience at MacPherson TCM and Wellness Clinic. I initially visited for knee joint pain and saw significant improvement within just a few sessions of tuina and acupuncture. The pain I felt reduced drastically and it has stayed that way since then. I then continued treatment for fertility support and noticed positive changes, including better overall wellbeing and increased energy. I also managed to conceive successfully within a few weeks of going through the treatment despite trying for many months with no success previously. Dr Kong is professional, attentive, and takes the time to follow up on symptoms, while the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I truly appreciate the care and expertise provided here and would highly recommend this clinic.
I’m incredibly grateful to Dr Kong for helping me through my entire fertility and pregnancy journey. He embraces the combination of both Western Medicine and TCM and gives professional advice and skills. He is patient and understanding which I really appreciate.
I got recommended to MacPherson TCM wellness by a friend and decided to give a try for fertility help. Can't be more grateful to Dr Kong, who is a very patient TCM practitioner and always provides helpful advice. His methods even though it takes time are proven very effective. My wife and I after consulting him for 5 months managed to get pregnant successfully! During the treatment, I had to take medicine 2x a day while my wife had to do the same with added acupuncture. After 5 months, I saw improved fertility results for myself and my wife upon getting pregnant, had the smoothest first trimester without any morning sickness. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for TCM advice for fertility or just in general to give this clinic a try. Trust the process.

Chinese Wellness Clinic is listed at a mid-range price tier, though specific per-session rates are not publicly displayed — contact the clinic directly to confirm current fees before booking. In the Singapore TCM market, a standard acupuncture or tui na consultation typically runs S$40–90 per session at a private clinic, with herbal prescriptions billed separately at S$20–60 per week depending on the formula. Ask whether packages (for example, a course of six or ten sessions) are available at a reduced rate, and confirm the first-consultation fee, which is sometimes higher than subsequent visits. No-show and late-cancellation policies vary by clinic, so clarify these upfront. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No formal referral is required to book a TCM consultation at Chinese Wellness Clinic — you can contact the clinic directly by phone or through the enquiry form. At your first visit, expect an intake assessment covering your presenting complaint, medical history, current medications, and lifestyle factors. TCM diagnosis is conducted through pulse-taking, tongue observation, and questioning, so no prior blood work or imaging is necessary, though bringing relevant medical reports can help the practitioner understand your condition more fully. If you have a complex or serious medical condition, a GP referral is not mandatory but can be useful for insurance reimbursement purposes. Some integrated shield plans and company medical benefits reimburse TCM treatment — check your policy before your first appointment.
In Singapore, TCM practitioners — including acupuncturists and herbalists — must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. You can verify any practitioner's registration on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg before your appointment. Registration number, scope of practice (acupuncture, TCM, or both), and any disciplinary history are publicly searchable. No regulatory licences are currently listed for Chinese Wellness Clinic on this KakiList profile, so we recommend confirming the attending practitioner's TCMPB registration number directly with the clinic before proceeding with treatment. This is standard due diligence for any healthcare provider. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
