About Clarity Singapore

Clarity Singapore is a counselling practice based in Yishun, serving clients islandwide. It has been verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channel. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range tier; contact the practice directly for specific session fees.

Clients typically begin with an initial consultation, during which the counsellor assesses the presenting concern — whether that is anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, stress, or another personal issue — and discusses a suitable approach. From there, sessions may be scheduled on a recurring basis or as needed, depending on the individual's goals and progress. It is worth confirming the counsellor's qualifications, therapeutic modalities used, and cancellation policy before committing to a package.

To take the next step, reach out to Clarity Singapore via phone or the enquiry form on their listing to arrange an initial consultation and confirm availability, fees, and the counsellor's background.

I’ve been to over 6 sessions now and wanted to leave a detailed review. Yes, the waiting time for a first appointment can take up to two months, but knowing that this is a charity org offering sessions to make therapy accessible, it’s completely understandable. It was also made known right from the start and I was aware of it going in. To share about my experience, I’ve spoken with the admin staff (Adeline and team), as well as my monthly therapist, and they are genuinely the sweetest and most hardworking people. My therapist Lee KQ, is extremely patient and thoughtful. She paces each session well, helps me unpack what’s necessary, and adapts to my needs without ever making me feel rushed. She uses different tools and frameworks and makes sure to share about them before diving in too, i really appreciate that she does that. Unlike other (more pricey ones too!) clinics I’ve tried, sessions here never ever feel transactional or half hearted. They’re flexible with both online and physical appointments while ive always opted for irl, and their approach is inclusive and non-denominational. Each session equips me with more clarity and practical skills, and I feel supported throughout the process. I’m writing this because I am a recipient of this help myself and genuinely appreciate what CAS and NCSS have built here. I hope this important work continues for a long time, and for them to continue this for a long time too. [Picture taken outside the therapy session rooms, a quiet space for reflection before and after your sessions too]

Friend cousin redditors have recommended this clinic but i was hesitant because of some google reviews. Glad i ignored them because my experience has been completely different. Feel that no other therapist i met in the past understood trauma like my therapist has. Appreciate how she even explained her questions and exercises because she somehow can tell i would be vulnerable. Slowly can start to remember what happy feels like. Took me alot to write this but hope this encourages you. Dont give up.

One of the most accessible mental health options in Singapore, yet not compromising in expertise, as they have in-house counsellors AND psychologists. Downside is the long wait time, but that cannot be helped as mental health awareness is increasing and the number of people seeking therapy is on the up.

Extremely long wait to get a first appointment..more than 2 mth .. and also long wait until yhe next appt. Then the counsellor was rather condescending like she is the expert and patients are laypeople who duno anything just because they are seeking therapy and because it is a subsidised service. If only they spent as much effort on improving the service as the social media marketing it may improve. Changed to a COMIT centreand no regrets. Got an appointment in the same week and seeing a much more professional and effective therapist now.

Unprofessional and unethical organization pretending to offer mental health services but with staff who possesses no more empathy than an icy rock wall. If you are not committed to helping people, at the very least, don’t do more harm than good.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Clarity Singapore charge per session?

Clarity Singapore is listed at a mid-range price tier, but specific per-session fees are not publicly disclosed. Singapore market norms for private counselling typically run S$100–200 per 50-minute session at individual practices, with the first consultation sometimes priced differently from follow-up sessions. Some practitioners offer package rates for a fixed number of sessions at a modest discount. Confirm the exact fee, any first-consultation charge, whether GST applies, and the cancellation or no-show policy before booking. See the full counselling cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

A GP or specialist referral is not required to book a counselling session at Clarity Singapore — you can reach out directly by phone or enquiry form. The first session typically functions as an intake or assessment appointment: the counsellor will ask about your current concerns, relevant background, and what you hope to work on, and will complete an intake form covering any contraindications or safety considerations. If you plan to claim counselling costs under an insurance policy or Medisave (note: Medisave coverage for outpatient counselling is limited and condition-specific), a GP referral letter may strengthen your claim. For complex clinical conditions such as diagnosed mood disorders or trauma, asking whether the counsellor holds relevant specialist training is worthwhile before your first appointment.

Is the practitioner at Clarity Singapore licensed?

Singapore does not yet have a single statutory register that all counsellors are legally required to join, but recognised voluntary registers include the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS). Psychologists offering psychological services may be registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP). Allied health professionals such as occupational therapists or physiotherapists practising in a counselling capacity would be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). Clarity Singapore's specific practitioner credentials and professional memberships are not listed in publicly available data. Before your first session, ask directly for the counsellor's qualification (degree level and awarding institution), years of practice, therapeutic approach, and any professional body membership. You can cross-check membership on the SAC or SRP public registers. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
