About Core Concepts (Novena)
Core Concepts (Novena) is a physiotherapy provider operating in Singapore, listed on KakiList as verified. With 940 Google reviews and a rating of 4.9 out of 5 — a robust sample — it is among the more prominently reviewed physiotherapy practices on the island. Pricing is indicated at mid-range ($$), though specific session fees are not published in the listing and should be confirmed directly with the clinic.
Patients typically begin with an initial consultation during which the physiotherapist takes a clinical history, assesses the presenting condition — whether that is lower back pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injury, neck or shoulder dysfunction, or neurological recovery — and sets out a treatment plan. Subsequent sessions may be one-to-one or guided exercise, and the practice may offer package rates for ongoing treatment. It is worth asking about cancellation policy and whether your insurer accepts direct billing or requires a GP referral for claims, as this varies by policy and can affect out-of-pocket cost.
To enquire or book, contact Core Concepts (Novena) directly via phone or the online form listed on their KakiList profile, and ask about appointment availability and whether an initial assessment session is required before ongoing treatment commences.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Serena is very experienced and meticulous. She was very patient and answered whatever queries I had. She was detailed in her explanations and explained everything in a manner that I could understand. Kesh was amazing. She worked on my back with absolute precision and was able to pinpoint where the knots were and release them. I really appreciate the care that was given to me.
Core concepts physiotherapy has been amazing in my recovery journey after a hip disorder diagnosis. When I went in first, I had perpetual pain and some mobility compromise. The professionals here are experienced and super nice, and make you feel very comfortable right off the bat. The diagnosis was detailed and very well explained to me and the sessions included pain management as well as strengthening exercises. I saw positive results very soon and am very thankful. They also charted out a clear follow-up and maintenance level for my exercises during discharge which makes me confident to manage my condition myself. Shout-out to Serena, Myra and Haikal for the help! They're great, highly recommended.
Was struggling with daily heel pain and had a couple of physio sessions with Kesh to treat the plantar fasciitis issue. Kesh was thorough in assessing my condition, and gave practical and simple exercises that I could do at home. Compiled with the physio sessions, I felt improvement in my condition. Hopefully the pain can continue improving with the next few sessions!
I’ve seen Heiko for a couple of times now and he is quick to help make some tweaks to the exercises so as to ‘fire up’ the specific muscles more quickly. A friendly trainer whom I will highly recommend to anyone out there. Thanks, Heiko!
Highly professional & effective. The place is great and BK, Randall & Haikal really know their stuff. My back pain has improved significantly after attending the physio sessions

Core Concepts (Novena) has not published a specific per-session rate in the listing, and pricing is indicated at mid-range ($$). For physiotherapy in Singapore, initial consultations typically run S$80–150, with follow-up treatment sessions at S$100–180. Some clinics offer block packages at a reduced per-session rate for patients who commit to a course of treatment. Physiotherapy clinics in Singapore generally accept self-referrals — you do not need a GP letter to book a first appointment. However, if you intend to claim under an integrated shield plan, a corporate insurer, or a personal accident policy, your insurer may require a GP or specialist referral to process reimbursement. It is worth checking your policy wording before booking. At a first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering your medical history, current medications, and the onset of your condition. The physiotherapist will carry out a physical assessment before recommending a treatment plan. Patients with complex or post-surgical conditions should bring any relevant imaging reports or discharge summaries to that appointment.
In Singapore, physiotherapists must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act. Registration is verifiable on the AHPC public register at https://www.healthprofessionals.gov.sg. No regulatory licences were listed for Core Concepts (Novena) in the current KakiList data — we recommend confirming the treating physiotherapist's AHPC registration number directly with the clinic before commencing treatment. Credentials worth asking about include the physiotherapist's degree institution, years of clinical experience, and any postgraduate specialisation (for example, musculoskeletal, sports, neurological, or paediatric physiotherapy), as these affect treatment fit for specific conditions. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the AHPC public register before treatment.
