Most counselling practices offer individual sessions on a session-by-session basis or as a package; it is worth asking about session frequency, estimated number of sessions for your concern, and the cancellation policy before committing.
To get started, contact Counselling Perspective directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to book an initial consultation and confirm availability, fees, and the counsellor's areas of specialism.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
I have been seeing Chei Liang for CBT for 2 years - have "graduated" therapy! :) Chei Liang is an extremely good therapist - she knows what she is doing CBT-wise, and her previous legal career has also given her a unique perspective on life and work, which is especially helpful as somebody in the legal industry. Chei Liang has seen me through some very difficult periods in my life, and has always managed to be objective and grounding, yet gentle, compassionate, and extremely likeable/personable! I am very grateful to Chei Liang as I feel that my life would not be what it is right now if I did not have her as a therapist. 12/10 best therapist I have ever had
I’ve found Lili to be very supportive during our sessions. She is highly knowledgeable in trauma counselling and creates a safe, compassionate space where her thoughtful insights really resonate and help me reflect. I appreciate how she shares helpful resources after sessions when she feels they’ll be beneficial. Lili has encouraged complementary somatic therapies, which have deepened my healing process, and she introduced EMDR therapy in a way that felt safe and reassuring. I’d highly recommend Lili to anyone looking for a grounded, well-rounded approach to their healing journey
Thank you Esther, for the lovely help. As a couple therapist, she's patient, objective, and cuts right through the noise without taking sides. As a performance coach, her listening ear is especially helpful in bouncing ideas off, and making actionable next steps super clear and achievable. If need be, the plan that she provides, is very helpful in visualizing milestones and what you need to focus on before meeting her again. All in all, I'm always very happy with my chats with Esther.
I had a tough time the past year at work and at some point it was too much to handle on my own. Needed a safe space to talk and a sounding board where I don't have to worry about being judged. I felt comfortable with Chei Liang, she helped me ask the right questions and decide for myself. Sometimes I wonder where I'd be had I not tried therapy, but I feel calmer and more able to navigate work (and life). Thank you Chei Liang!
I had a couple of sessions with another psychotherapist but it didn't work well. Months later, I was looking for another one and I found Jeanette. I then had a number of weekly counselling sessions with her. She's really good, patient, and listening. I thank her deeply for her help! And Merry Christmas to her and everyone!

Counselling Perspective has not published a specific session rate on this listing. For context, individual counselling sessions in Singapore typically run S$80–200 per session at private practices, with some practitioners offering concessionary rates for students or lower-income clients. It is worth asking whether a package rate is available for multiple sessions, what the first-consultation fee is, and whether the practice accepts any employer assistance programmes or insurance panels that could offset costs. Confirm the full fee, cancellation policy, and payment methods in writing before your first session. See the full counselling cost guide for Singapore →
No formal referral is required to book a session at a private counselling practice — you can contact Counselling Perspective directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form. At the first session, expect an intake conversation covering your presenting concern, relevant personal history, and what you are hoping to work on. Some clients find it useful to bring a brief summary of their situation beforehand. If you are seeking to make an insurance claim, check whether your insurer requires a GP or psychiatrist referral letter before approving coverage for counselling. For complex conditions such as severe depression, psychosis, or eating disorders, a GP referral to a psychiatrist alongside counselling may also be appropriate.
Counselling is not yet a statutorily regulated profession in Singapore, which means there is no single mandatory licence equivalent to those held by physiotherapists (AHPC) or TCM practitioners (TCMPB). The key voluntary credentialling bodies are the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS). SAC-accredited counsellors have met minimum training and supervised practice hours; SPS-registered psychologists hold postgraduate qualifications in psychology. Counselling Perspective has not listed specific regulatory credentials on this profile. Before booking, ask the practitioner directly about their academic qualifications, membership of SAC or SPS, years of supervised practice, and the specific issues they specialise in. Confirm the practitioner's credentials match your presenting concern before committing to a package.
