We have engaged Andy from Designscale for numerous renovations. So far, we had 3 renovations completed by him. He is a very honest, responsible and detailed person. First and foremost, he will understand and discuss with you your detailed requirements of how you will use your various spaces before he goes into detailed design and provide 3D and detailed drawings (for instance, where will all the power sockets be installed etc.) to us. If there are any changes to the requirement he will updated them promptly with drawings and re-confirmation with us on all changes. As the space is very precious to us, he tried means to create space for us. He always try to save cost for us for instance the cabinet in the toilet was too shallow for us to keep our things hence, we told him to redo the cabinets. He told us to use back the cupboard doors to save some cost. With his vast of experience in this industry and an eye for design, we were really satisfied how the final project turn out for us! The quality and reliability of his sub-contractors are always of high standards, reliable and responsible! I engaged Jeremy from DesignScale a second time as he did a wonderful job for me and my parents 14 years ago. His design then was very well planned and appropriate for the 3 of us, taking care of the needs of my parents and me. Now that both my parents have passed on, I took opportunity to renovate my 4-room HDB flat with just my needs in mind. My brief to Jeremy and Zelene was focused on one main point - open up my house and have immediate access to the beautiful, unblocked views that could be viewed previously only from the bedrooms. Jeremy’s design was innovative, creative and bold. The result was a completely restructured layout that more than meet my needs – 1) Immediate access to the beautiful views; 2) cosy bedroom; 3) guest cum multi-purpose room; 4) much better airflow, ventilation and inflow of natural light. The following summarizes what I think makes Jeremy a great Interior Designer Guru: 1. Ability to uncover and understand client’s needs and desires – the end design uniquely reflects the client’s personality. 2. Manages a loyal team of professional contractors – flooring, carpentry, electrical, plumbing etc. The team has been with Jeremy for almost 20 years. I could retain my kitchen cabinets built more than 14 years ago by the same carpenter. I need only change the countertop and back splash. The quality was so good that my friends could not believe that my kitchen cabinets were not new. The understanding and coordination between Jeremy and his team was key to timely troubleshooting and delivery of the project. 3. All round comprehension of renovation process and work – Jeremy is an expert not only in design but also in carpentry, electrical and plumbing. This ability enables him to command respect from his team and ability to troubleshoot effectively. 4. Continuously review and adapt designs and work processes – Jeremy continuously looks for more effective and efficient ways to improve the original design. Every home is unique with unseen challenges. I am very impressed with Jeremy’s ability to think out of the box and recommend better and sometimes less expensive solutions. 5. Great eye for colours, furnishings and lightings - extremely essential ingredients for a well renovated home. I am very glad that I heeded Jeremy's recommendation for not only the wall colours but the lighting including cosy cove lights that matches the flooring and the curtains. HIs advise on the right type, colour and size of furniture was greatly appreciated. My renovation journey was stress free and actually really enjoyable as I witnessed the transformation of my home. I could completely trust Jeremy as he understands what I like and needs. Sometimes, he would gently lead me to a much better choice by his detailed explanation and rationale. I highly recommend Jeremy and Zelene, the professional, committed and dedicated IDs from DesignScale.

We would like to thank Jeremy and Zelene for building our dream home, stress-free 💯 Jeremy and Zelene are not only creative IDs, they are also very responsible and responsive. My husband and I were hands-free throughout our reno journey - we trusted them to handle everything from top to toe, and handle it well they did. We wanted a minimalistic theme for our house, and for pet / catification measures to integrate seamlessly thoughout. They did research to ensure the cat shelves were of suitable height for our cat, and even sourced for rougher laminates and water-based glues so that it would be pet-safe. Our favourite part of the house is the kitchen. We fell in love with the blue marble tiles when we went tile shopping, and Jeremy and Zelene did not hesitate to suggest ways that we could include them in our house 😍 All in all, it was a very pleasant experience working with Jeremy and Zelene. We will definitely come back to the team when we move house next!

Renovation can be stressful with many uncertainties and moving parts. But ours was enjoyable, relaxful and ahead-of-time, thanks to Designscale - Jeremy, Zelene and their committed team. We hired Designscale for a second time because of their meticulousness, superb project management and commitment to lasting design. From the first day we took over the house, Jeremy and Zelene studied all the little details about our unit, like what caused the space to be constricted, how the air flows, which areas were prone to mould etc. They paid attention to me and my wife's personality, wishlist and preferences before they put together a design proposal. More than just 3D drawing and on-paper calculations, Jeremy and Zelene walked the site often and made necessary adjustments. They also have a very good rapport with the workers. I find these invaluable - because the true value of a designer is not just the beautiful design one can draw up, but also the practicality, timeliness and precision of the implementation. We did encounter design challenges, unforeseen obstacles, practical limitations - but they ironed out all these one by one. Jeremy proudly retold the story of our house - as a space that is partly in the clouds and partly grounded in wood nature. Nourished by the eastern morning sun, shining on our walls painted with a colour called “Early Morning Mist” - we are offered a refreshing new start every day. The result: They transformed our 4-room flat to be more spacious, with a warm grounding vibe. The picture below would do better justice than me writing a thousand words. We managed to move in within our schedule. I highly recommend Jeremy and Zelene from Designscale. I would hire them again if I buy another property. Rare, caring, committed designers who can bring lasting design to life - and tell you the story behind their work.
