About EK Maid Agency
EK Maid Agency offers domestic helper placement services from its office at 11 Sin Ming Road, serving households islandwide in Singapore. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channels. Its Google rating stands at 2.9 out of 5 across 16 reviews — a small sample that should be treated as directional only, though the below-average score warrants attention before proceeding.
When approaching any maid agency, the first step is to confirm that the agency holds a valid MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is verifiable by name or licence number on MOM's online EA directory. You should also check the agency's EA Grading (A+ to C), as this reflects compliance history and complaint-handling standards. For a new-hire helper, placement fees typically run S$1,500–3,500; for a transfer helper already in Singapore, S$500–1,500. Monthly costs beyond the placement fee include the helper's salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the MOM levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary if your household includes a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability). Confirm what is bundled — mandatory FDW insurance, Settling-In Programme, medical examination, and Work Permit application — versus billed separately. Source-country options typically include Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.
Contact EK Maid Agency via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask for the EA Licence number, EA Grading, current helper profiles, and the full written breakdown of fees before committing to any deposit.
Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
Very unprofessional agency so far I have seen in Singapore. They act like nice only till you hire the helper. Non trained helpers They will say will replace helper in 6 months, when you ask for helper they will say have to wait or none available.
Fuss free service. Their maids are screened and well trained. Hired one, no issues at all. Maid material, hard working, initiative and good. Many agencies do not get the right one for the job. The just bring heads and the poor girls also suffer from taking the jobs they are not ready to do. EK maid agency has good bios which I feel is reliable and trustworthy from my experience. Happy with the agency and their selection. Thanks EK maid agency.
Poor quality maids and dishonest agency. Maid was sent home and employer was entitled to a prorated insurance premium refund. Called insurance company to ask for the refund and they said they had already refunded to the agency but agency kept quiet and kept the refund. It was only when the insurance company contacted the agency then only the agency refunded the insurance premium to the employer. If you don't follow up with the insurance company, the agency would have just quietly kept your refund.
Please think twice before engaging their services. The biodata of the helper says something while the helper doesn't even know whatever that is stated in the biodata. Everything stated in the biodata is very generic. We took a new srilankan helper and she agreed to take care of kids above 1 year old . We paid all the SHN cost and agency fees . She wanted a transfer within a month and it is totally unfair. When the agency posted the biodata for transfer I noticed that they indicated that the helper is willing to take care of child above 7 years . Why don't the agency pick out a suitable profile for us earlier that we had to spend so much $$$ for just to keep the helper for 5 months time . During the 5 months time it was not easy with the helper too . We have to go through counselling for more than 10 times. The agency did not even bother to reimburse anything. They absolutely can't match requirement . Please don't waste your money .
This agency is not consistent with their response.. Sonia helps when it's your first time with her, and then for any feedbacks or problems, she is not too available. She can be rude and I was quite frustrated dealing with a replacement from her agency that I went to another agency. I will not recommend this agency.

Placement fees for a new-hire helper typically run S$1,500–3,500 at Singapore maid agencies; transfer helpers (already in Singapore on an existing Work Permit) generally attract lower fees of S$500–1,500. On top of the one-time placement fee, budget for the helper's monthly salary (S$550–800 depending on nationality and experience) and the monthly MOM levy (S$300 standard, or S$60 concessionary for households with a child under 16, an elderly member aged 67 or above, or a person with disability). Confirm what is included in the quoted fee — mandatory FDW insurance (approximately S$300–600 per year), the Settling-In Programme, pre-deployment medical examination, and Work Permit application are sometimes bundled and sometimes billed separately. Ask for a full written itemisation before paying any deposit. See the full Maid Agencies cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate maid agency in Singapore must hold an MOM Employment Agency (EA) Licence, which is publicly verifiable on MOM's online EA directory by agency name or licence number. The licence number should appear on the agency's website, contracts, and invoices. No regulatory licences are currently listed for EK Maid Agency on KakiList, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed — you should ask the agency directly for its EA Licence number and verify it on the MOM directory before paying any fee. EA Grading runs from A+ to C; A+ and A grades signal stronger compliance records and complaint-handling. Hiring through an unlicensed agent is illegal, leaves you with no recourse if a placement breaks down, and can void your FDW insurance. Verify the EA Licence on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
A standard replacement guarantee at Singapore maid agencies typically covers a window of six months from the helper's arrival date, with one or two free replacements included. Confirm how many replacements are covered, what circumstances void the guarantee (for example, documented incompatibility versus a change of mind), and what a replacement costs outside the guarantee window. Also clarify the early-termination process — if a placement breaks down, the household is responsible for the helper's repatriation flight, cancellation of the Work Permit, and any unused MOM levy refund. These costs can run S$500–1,500 or more and are separate from the original placement fee. Get the full replacement and termination terms in writing before signing. Verify the EA Licence number on MOM's online EA directory before paying any deposit, and read the agency contract's replacement, refund, and early-termination clauses.
