New patients typically begin with a first consultation during which the practitioner conducts tongue and pulse diagnosis alongside a clinical history to identify the underlying pattern of disharmony. From there, a treatment plan is proposed — this may involve acupuncture, tuina, cupping, moxibustion, or a course of herbal medicine, depending on the presenting condition and the patient's preference. Patients should enquire about session duration, whether a package or single-session arrangement is available, and the cancellation and no-show policy before committing.
To get started, contact EMW TCM via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to describe your condition and book an initial consultation at their Scotts Road clinic.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
I’ve been with EMW for the past 4 years and I feel truly blessed to have found them. Thank you Physician Edmund and team! They were a huge pillar to my TTC journey and I am now blessed with 2 daughters. Physician Edmund was very insightful and encouraging throughout. The EMW team was always there to answer any queries I have and they always do their best to pen me in for last minute acupuncture sessions given the unexpected schedule of my IUI procedure. I also recently tried out their personalized confinement herbs and I am still raving about it. Back in 2021 I’d gotten prepackaged 28-days herbs from another company so I am able to compare and see the difference- more energy, better digestion, etc. Truly recommend EMW to anyone who is looking for TCM support while TTC and even after!
I’ve been with EMW for over 3 years. From before my pregnancy to 2 years after giving birth. Physician Jasmine, Physician Eeween, and therapist Maybeline are all caring, attentive, and amazing. The staff are all friendly, polite, and make me feel completely comfortable every visit. I was able to conceive naturally at 37, despite having fibroids and other women’s health challenges, even when my chances were said to be under 12% by private specialist doctor. If you’re trying to conceive naturally, I highly recommend coming to EMW and committing to at least 6 months of consistent biweekly visits. You will see results!
I’ve been with EMW since the end of last year, under the care of Physician Ee Wen, Physician Edmund and team. I started weekly acupuncture sessions to regulate my body in preparation for trying to conceive. Along the way, both physicians provided not only treatments but also advice and reassurance. They patiently explained each step of the process to both my husband and me, helping us understand what to expect and making the journey feel a lot less overwhelming. In addition to acupuncture, we also went through other assisted reproductive procedures. With the combined care and expertise of the EMW team, we were overjoyed to find out we were pregnant in August. Throughout the process, from trying to conceive to the early stages of pregnancy, everyone at EMW took such great care of me. From the front desk staff to the care assistants, and physicians, every member of the team made us feel supported, respected, and genuinely cared for.
Thank you EMW TCM for helping me improve my gut health and prepare my body for pregnancy. Really appreciate Physician Jasmine and the team that is very approachable and concern every visit that I have from the preparation until my 1st trimester acupuncture. Highly recommended.
I’ve been coming here for acupuncture and moxibustion for two months, twice a week, to help treat Lupus SLE that I was diagnosed with. The sessions helped with pain management and overall circulation. Physician Jasmine is experienced, knowledgeable and kind, with understanding of both western and eastern medicine. All the staff are also warm and friendly. The place is also clean, highly recommend.

EMW TCM is priced in the mid-range ($$), though specific per-session fees were not published at the time of listing. In Singapore, a TCM consultation typically runs S$20–50, with acupuncture sessions commonly priced at S$60–120 and herbal medicine prescriptions billed separately at S$30–80 per week depending on the formula and quantity. Package deals for ongoing conditions — for example, a course of six to ten acupuncture sessions — are often available at a discount over single-session rates. Confirm the exact consultation fee, treatment costs, and whether GST applies before your first visit. Also ask whether materials such as needles or herbal preparation fees are included or billed on top. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No referral is required to book an initial consultation at EMW TCM. At your first visit, you will typically complete an intake form covering your health history, current medications, and presenting complaint, followed by a diagnostic assessment using tongue and pulse examination — the standard entry point for TCM treatment planning. For patients with complex or chronic conditions such as post-stroke rehabilitation, fertility support, or chronic pain, it is worth mentioning your diagnosis and any specialist reports when booking so the practitioner can allocate adequate consultation time. Where you intend to claim through an insurance policy or Medisave, check your plan's requirements in advance, as some insurers and Medisave-accredited clinics require a GP referral letter for reimbursement.
In Singapore, all practising TCM physicians and acupuncturists must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is a legal requirement — not a voluntary credential — and can be verified on the TCMPB's public online register at moh.gov.sg before you book. Note that EMW TCM's regulatory licences were not confirmed in the current listing data. We recommend asking the clinic for the practitioner's TCMPB registration number directly and cross-checking it on the public register. A registered practitioner will have no hesitation providing this. Confirm the practitioner's licence on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
