A first visit to a TCM clinic typically begins with an initial consultation, during which the practitioner takes a detailed history, assesses your constitution through tongue and pulse examination, and discusses your presenting condition or wellness goal — whether that is pain management, stress, digestive issues, fertility support, or general health maintenance. From there, you can expect a personalised treatment plan that may combine acupuncture, herbal medicine, tuina, or cupping depending on your needs. Clarify upfront whether you are seeking a one-off session or an ongoing package, and ask about the cancellation policy before your first appointment.
To get started, contact Eu Yan Sang TCM Clinic (Waterway Point) by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to confirm appointment availability, the consulting practitioner's name, and current session fees before booking.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
Doctor Leung is very knowledgeable. Visited 2 times because of my 9 year-old daughter’s stomachache. 2nd visit did acupuncture. Pain lessened afterwards. Thumbs up
Dr Leung from the Nex clinic is patient and knowledgeable. She is able to explain clearly my symptoms and the treatment plan for me, without any hard selling. The nurses and staff are professional too and with good service. Dr Leung accupunture skills are good as I don’t feel much pain during the session. Also after 2 sessions of accupunture and meds, my gastric improved with less bloatedness. Highly recommend Dr Leung and the nex clinic.
Physician and counter staff were freindly and nice. Very happy to be greeted by Cindy, Sock Eng and Yan Fei today. Clara and May also brighten up my day when I see them! Thank you all for the positive experience all the time!
I used to experience severe muscle twitches in most areas of my body. After visitng Dr Leung Bing Mui, the twitching got a lot better through accupuncture and herbal medication. She is also very skilled and nice to patients
This is my first visit to the Eu Yang Sang TCM Clinic @ Serangoon NEX (it re-opened after renovation this week). I was warmly greeted at the reception by Ms Heng Meow Buay. She is friendly and helpful. My physician is Dr Vong U Chan. I am happy and grateful for Dr Vong as my physician. She arrested the medical condition I am currently suffering. With her advice and medicine prescription, I am feeling better physically and stronger. Ms Hong Yan, who dispenses the medication is friendly. I am very satisfied with the services of Eu Yang Sang TCM clinic. Thank you.

Specific per-session fees were not published in this listing, but TCM consultations in Singapore typically range from S$30–80 for the initial consultation, with acupuncture sessions running S$50–120 and herbal medicine prescribed separately at varying cost depending on the formula and duration of the course. Clinics operating under the Eu Yan Sang brand tend to sit at a mid-range price point. Package pricing — for example, a block of acupuncture sessions at a bundled rate — is common at established TCM clinics and can reduce the per-session cost meaningfully. Confirm whether a first-consultation fee applies and whether it is credited against treatment. Ask about the no-show and cancellation policy before your first appointment. No GP referral is required to book a TCM consultation in Singapore. Most clinics, including this one, accept direct bookings by phone or online enquiry. At the first visit, expect an intake assessment covering your medical history, current medications, diet, sleep, and presenting symptoms — this is standard TCM diagnostic practice and takes 20–40 minutes. If you have a complex or chronic condition (diabetes, hypertension, cancer, pregnancy complications), it is worth informing the clinic when you book so the appropriate practitioner is assigned. Certain acupuncture and herbal protocols are contraindicated alongside specific pharmaceutical drugs, so disclose all current medications during the intake. A GP referral letter, while not mandatory, can be useful if you intend to claim against an Integrated Shield Plan or corporate insurance that requires it — check your policy before the appointment.
In Singapore, all practising TCM physicians — including acupuncturists and those prescribing Chinese herbal medicine — must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) under the Ministry of Health. Registration is verifiable on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg before you book. Eu Yan Sang is a long-established brand in Singapore, and its clinic practitioners are expected to hold TCMPB registration. That said, the specific consulting physician's registration details were not provided in this listing. Ask for the attending practitioner's full name and TCMPB registration number when you call to confirm your appointment, and cross-check on the public register. No regulatory licences were listed for this clinic on KakiList. Confirm the practitioner's credentials and the clinic's registration status directly before your first treatment.
