Big thanks to FlipStone Interior Design, especially ID Danny, for making our renovation such a smooth and stress-free experience. He was super responsive and always quick to resolve any issues, even those not directly related to the renovation works. Timelines were clearly laid out from the start, and despite the major scope of work, including hacking, electrical rewiring, air-con installation, flooring, and carpentry, the entire project was completed within 2.5 months, ahead of schedule. We moved in smoothly without any hiccups. What we really appreciated was being able to fully trust Danny to manage everything without having to worry about the progress. When we mentioned our need to store multiple rackets, he went the extra mile to suggest a practical solution and even helped source the mounting accessories for installation in the cabinets. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and we’re really happy with how everything turned out. Highly recommended!

Working with Kelvin Gan and Kelvin Kee on my 2-room flexi was honestly such a wholesome and enjoyable experience. They’re very easy to chat with, no airs, and a powerhouse “Double K” duo—super responsive, proactive with ideas, and always on the ball. Issues often got resolved without me ever having to chase them—sometimes even ahead of schedules and my expectations. For instance, when I had a pipe leak in the kitchen, I really appreciated the fact that they didn't just fix the pipe; they also took the initiative to have the affected laminate removed and replaced immediately to prevent mold issue in the near future. Some IDs might just fix the leak and call it a day. If you want a stress-free reno with people who genuinely care, go with them. You will not regret it! :)

After talking to a few IDs and receiving various quotes, we decided to engage FlipStone as their quote was the most reasonable and transparent. Our IDs were Jason and Kelvin both of whom had good technical knowledge that gave us insight into what other firms recommended because it looked nice, but was actually impractical and difficult to clean/maintain etc. They took time to understand our needs especially moving into a smaller place but wanting sufficient and aesthetically pleasing storage. Having 2 IDs also meant someone was always ready to respond to our questions etc. and both were always willing to go the extra mile to help us. Both Jason and Kelvin were easygoing and flexible, accommodating our various requests and changes, and updating the 3D plan accordingly. We were given clear timelines and we also liked that a lot of the works were from in-house, including carpentry and wet works, both of which were done very well and quickly. Even when we had hiccups, they were minor and both IDs attended to them properly and promptly. Our house was eventually handed over earlier than expected, and post handover, they continued to be responsive and helpful whenever we needed some rectification for issues that were caused by us after we moved in. Have recommended them to our friends and we are very happy with our house and have been enjoying every bit of it! Thanks Jason and Kelvin!

We met a handful of IDs and were so glad that we decided to engage Danny from Flipstone eventually. Danny was very prompt to our texts and easy to work with. Quote was very reasonable and renovation was completed on time. Danny took our feedback seriously and was able to meet all of our requests (including last minute ones). We met with 8 IDs and Ewan was the first person we met and he stood out amongst the rest based on his knowledge, experience, and quiet confidence. He was the only one that made the effort to show us the initial design draft on first meeting after gathering our design preferences / ideas on phone. Instead of sounding like he is taking an order out of the “menu”like other ID we met, he listened and successfully transformed our ideas into the home we envisioned which fits our lifestyle. From the design process to budgeting until Reno, communication was open and easy. There has been little hiccups here and there during the process - which is normal, but everything is attended to and rectified (that includes the after move-in where we still spot some things not to our liking). We both are perfectionist and to have Ewan being so patient has helped making this stressful Reno journey to be more enjoyable. He has both design eyes and technical eyes and we are in total alignment with his style of work. Thank you Ewan, it has been fun working with you.
