When enquiring, start by confirming capacity for your specific event format — standing cocktail, banquet round-table, and theatre seating each yield different guest numbers from the same floor space, with cocktail capacity typically running 1.5 to 2 times the banquet seated figure. Discuss the F&B arrangement early: whether the venue operates on an in-house F&B minimum spend, permits external caterers (with or without a corkage charge), and what the bar and liquor arrangements are. Confirm the A/V provision included in the package — PA system, projector, screen, microphones, and lighting — alongside aircon hours, noise curfew, and setup and teardown access windows, which are often outside the rented session and need to be agreed separately. Ask about parking (in-house or nearby paid carpark), accessibility via lift, ramp, or accessible toilets, and whether the venue holds ROM solemnisation status if you are planning a wedding ceremony.
To proceed, contact Flutes at The Fort by phone or via the enquiry form to confirm your event date, preferred format, and guest count — and arrange a site recce before committing to a deposit.
Do a site recce, confirm capacity for your specific event format (cocktail / banquet / theatre), and put the F&B policy, A/V inclusions, noise curfew, setup/teardown access, and rescheduling terms in writing before paying the deposit.
The festive menu was well-curated, but the highlight for me was definitely the optional Pan Fried Foie Gras. The combination with the Davidson’s plum and gingerbread was unique and absolutely delicious. The Turkey was nice and tender, served with great sides like the duck fat spuds. What really stood out was the service—truly fantastic from start to finish. A great spot to spend the holiday.
Enjoyable, private, personalised dinner experience at this famed fine dining restaurant. The 4 course degustation menu was perfect in presentation and taste. Kudos to Chef Peter Rollinson for accommodating and creating a bespoke menu to meet our dietary restrictions. Attentive service by Bing and Juan. Thanks to Cherry and Sourav for organising the lovely birthday surprise as well.
Unique ambience with windows overlooking the streets and fine dining style setting. Food was good especially the sous vide lamb shoulder rack and desert. Chicken was slightly rubbery though. Attended a Penfolds wine event which was fantastic at Flutes.
Would not consider this a fine dining establishment. “Service” from wait staff is deplorable. Specifically from a one named Juan. This person lacks the presence of mind to wait tables at a so called fine dining restaurant. He was rude and dishonest. Completely spoilt our evening. Food wise was ok. But coming to such a venue, the dining experience must be more holistic.
Had a private birthday party there. Ruth was so kind to organise the entire menu, canapes and table setting. An enjoyable evening with excellent food.

Venue pricing at Flutes at The Fort is package-based, which is standard for function and dining venues in Singapore. Function rooms and private dining spaces in this segment typically range from S$1,500 to S$8,000+ for a half-day event package, rising to S$8,000–S$30,000+ for full-day or ballroom-scale bookings, though the exact figure will depend on your event format, headcount, day of week, and F&B arrangement. Confirm what the package includes: aircon hours, basic A/V (PA, projector, screen), on-site staff, and cleaning. Common add-ons billed separately include external-caterer corkage (typically S$3–8 per pax), liquor corkage if BYO, extended-hours surcharges, and photography or videography permits. GST applies. Contact the venue directly for a current rate card. See the full venue rental cost guide for Singapore →
Capacity varies significantly by event format — a room that seats 60 guests banquet-style may accommodate 90–100 on a standing cocktail basis. Request the floor plan and layout options when you enquire, and confirm which configurations are permitted for your event type. For F&B, clarify whether the venue operates on an in-house F&B minimum spend (which typically replaces the hall rental fee), permits external caterers with a corkage charge, or maintains an approved-caterer list. Liquor arrangements — house wine list, BYO with corkage, or a full bar — should also be confirmed early, as these affect both budget and event flow. If you are planning a wedding solemnisation, ask whether Flutes at The Fort is a registered ROM solemnisation venue or whether you will need to arrange a Justice of the Peace separately.
A deposit of typically 30–50% is required to secure an event date, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event. Popular Saturday evenings — particularly during wedding season in March, April, October, and November — tend to book out six to twelve months in advance, so early enquiry is advisable. Confirm the noise curfew (typically 10–11pm for venues in or adjacent to residential and mixed-use developments), parking arrangements, and accessibility provisions including lift access, ramps, and accessible toilets. Clarify setup and teardown windows, as these are often outside the rented session and should be agreed in writing. Ask about the rescheduling policy in the event of force majeure — most reputable venues allow postponement within six to twelve months without forfeiting the deposit. A site recce before paying the deposit is standard and strongly recommended.
