I rarely ever post reviews, but this one comes from the heart: I highly recommend Tania as birth doula. Even my husband, who didn’t see the value of engaging a doula at all, was very happy with her and agreed that hiring her was a good “investment” ;) To be honest, I wanted to hire a midwife with medical education first. But that isn’t very common in Singapore and I already knew and trusted Tania from various mum meet ups before, so I went with her. And it turned out to be the best decision I made for my second birth :) Tania has been extremely supportive - before, during and after birth. She was always quick to respond to all my questions and did her very best to make sure I got the birth experience I was looking for. She explained me all options in the birthing system in Singapore with pros and cons, she never imposed, but advised well and calmed me down where necessary. During birth she was amazing. She made sure my wishes were respected in a very kind manner (she works very well with the hospital staff and doctors). Also, she created a very nice atmosphere in the delivery room eg with diverse lighting. And almost most importantly, she helped me manage the pain with various tricks (eg tense machine, pressing the hips during contractions, etc). She also involved my husband very well, so it kind of felt we were a “birthing team”. Tania is also certified lactation consultant, and when I was experiencing breastfeeding issues in the beginning, she was very helpful as well. Tania is a very skilled doula. You can tell that she does this profession with all her heart and I will be forever grateful for her support on my journey.

Tania was incredible. I couldn’t rate her highly enough, she really made all the difference to my birth experience. I had never considered a doula before but on a recommendation from a friend I tried a free consultation. I instantly got a great vibe from Tania and didn’t interview anyone else. She was a great sounding board leading up to and during labour, helped us make decisions that felt right for us, and really guided me on what to expect in the Singapore health system given we are new to the area. She also guided my husband on how to be helpful in the delivery room so he felt useful, which in turn helped me as well. Thanks Tania for everything.

Tania was our doula for the birth of our first baby and made the experience so smooth, beautiful and memorable. She truly prepared us on what to expect and how to put all the chances on our side for the perfect delivery and has an extensive address book of providers to help during pregnancy, the actual delivery and postpartum. She has been super responsive and available for any question we had throughout the whole process and went the extra mile on the D day. Her lactation consultant knowledge was also very helpful to make that journey smooth. Highly recommend!

We can’t recommend Tania highly enough. She has been an unbelievable support through pre-natal sessions, labour and post natal. Being from the UK the system in Singapore is very different and having someone help you navigate that from start to finish, was amazing. During labour she was not just great support for me but also for my husband, as there are a lot of questions asked by hospital staff at sometimes untimely moments etc. If we were to have another child in Singapore, there would be no doubt that we would request Tania to support us again. Thank you so much!

From the very beginning, at just a few weeks pregnant, up to birth and beyond Tania was the most calming, reassuring and knowledgable support. She helped me to understand and navigate having a baby in Singapore and the process here, helped me prepare for the birth and then on the day itself was totally invaluable. I was lucky enough to have an amazing positive birth experience and Tania played an essential role in that, I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone expecting a baby whether a first time mum or not. She had the most calming influence in the labour room and helped guide me to focus and get through an intense and quick birth bringing me back whenever I had a wobble. After birth, Tania helped me to establish breast feeding and when we found out about some health complications at week 2, again Tania was there to support us and me through a very tough period. Her advice enabled me to maintain my milk supply for a 5 week period during which I was unable to feed the baby. I will forever be grateful for the impact she had on my second pregnancy and birth and just hope we’re still living in the same country when I have number 3!
